Nexus Spawns

Pick a hand-built, protected spawn for every new world.

When a new world starts, Nexus Spawns builds a detailed spawn area that blends into the land around it, then sets the world spawn there. In single player you choose the style from a picker screen on first join. On a server, the owner picks it in the config.

Five styles

  • Rift Plaza: a deepslate plaza with a glowing amethyst Rift core, corner pillars and a spruce shelter. The classic Khaos Nexus start.
  • League Garden: a bright garden with white paths, a red ring, flowers, lantern posts and a gazebo with a bell.
  • Nexus Ruins: mossy ancient ruins with a chiseled centre, broken pillars topped with lanterns, and a ruined arch that holds your supplies.
  • Cozy Camp: a friendly meadow campsite with dirt paths, a lantern circle, two little tents with beds, and wildflowers.
  • Sky Platform: a glass-railed quartz platform on a floating island 40 blocks up, with a hanging underside of roots, chains and lanterns, and a pillar and ladder down to a lit landing pad.

Every style comes with a starter chest, a crafting area, lighting and a welcome sign. The builds have organic edges, a stone foundation down to the ground, and a feathered grass skirt that eases into the slope around them.

Safe zone

Inside the spawn radius (28 blocks by default) Nexus Spawns blocks:

  • hostile mob spawns
  • explosions
  • PvP
  • block edits by non-ops

You can turn each of these off in config/nexusspawns-common.toml.

Commands

  • /nexusspawns info: shows the current spawn.
  • /nexusspawns styles: lists the styles.
  • /nexusspawns choose <style>: single player; does the same as the picker.
  • /nexusspawns rebuild <style> [x z]: ops only.

Servers

  • Set style in the config to rift_plaza, league_garden, nexus_ruins, cozy_camp, sky_platform or random. random picks from the world seed.
  • Vanilla clients can join a server running Nexus Spawns. The picker screen is client-side only.
