About

Description

Nick Detector
SHOW /NICK USERS IN PREMIUM SERVERS

It may not show the absolute truth. But usually true.

Nick Detector is a lightweight client-side mod for Minecraft Forge 1.8.9 that checks whether player usernames exist in Mojang’s official database. If a username cannot be found, the mod displays a red [NICKED] tag next to the player’s name in the TAB list.

Features

  • Client-side only (no server interaction or packet modification)

  • Uses the official Mojang API for username verification

  • Ignores rank prefixes and guild tags

  • Asynchronous checking system (no FPS drops)

  • Smart caching to prevent unnecessary API requests

  • Lightweight and performance-friendly

The mod analyzes only the original Minecraft username obtained from the player’s GameProfile. Rank prefixes (such as MVP+) and guild tags are ignored to ensure accurate name validation.

Note: This mod only works on premium (online-mode) servers. It detects usernames that are not registered in Mojang’s database. Valid premium usernames cannot be detected.
