Description
No Unbreakable Charms is a Forge 1.20.1 addon mod for Apotheosis that removes the ability to make charms unbreakable through Infusion Enchanting.
The mod is designed for server owners, modpack creators, and players who want Apotheosis charms to remain useful without becoming permanent, unbreakable items. It keeps the rest of Apotheosis intact while specifically blocking the infusion behavior that allows charms to gain the unbreakable state.
With its focused design, No Unbreakable Charms helps balance Apotheosis in modpacks and servers where infinite-use charms may feel too powerful, too easy to abuse, or unsuitable for the intended progression.
Features
Prevents Apotheosis charms from becoming unbreakable
Removes or blocks the relevant Infusion Enchanting behavior for charms
Keeps charms available and usable
Keeps Apotheosis installed and functioning normally
Does not disable unrelated Apotheosis systems
Does not affect vanilla enchanting
Useful for modpacks, servers, balance-focused packs, and curated progression setups
How It Works
No Unbreakable Charms is designed to target one specific balance issue: unbreakable charms created through Apotheosis Infusion Enchanting.
When Apotheosis is installed, players can normally use Infusion Enchanting to improve certain items, including charms. This addon prevents charms from receiving the unbreakable result, meaning charms can still exist and be used, but they can no longer be upgraded into permanent versions through infusion.
This makes the mod especially useful for:
Modpacks that want stronger balance around charm usage
Servers that want to prevent permanent charm effects
Progression-based packs where unbreakable charms are too powerful
Packs that use Apotheosis but want tighter control over its strongest item upgrades
Players who enjoy Apotheosis but want charms to remain consumable or limited
About the Mod
No Unbreakable Charms was made for Forge 1.20.1 as a lightweight compatibility addon for Apotheosis.
The focus of the mod is balance, simplicity, and compatibility. It does not try to overhaul Apotheosis or change unrelated mechanics. Instead, it only removes the ability to make charms unbreakable, allowing pack creators and server owners to keep Apotheosis while avoiding one of its most powerful long-term upgrades.
The mod is intended to be simple to install, easy to understand, and safe to include in modpacks that want a more controlled Apotheosis experience.
