About

Description

NoMobSpawn is a lightweight Fabric mod that allows you to completely block specific mobs from spawning in your world.

Client-compatible

Only for singleplayer/local worlds!

  • Singleplayer & LAN: Install the mod into your client's mods folder, and it will work perfectly in your worlds.
  • Joining other servers: If you connect to third-party servers, the mod will harmlessly sit in the background. It will not cause crashes and will not prevent you from joining any servers.

For which server types

The mod is Server-Side. This means it is compatible with all types of Fabric-based servers:

  • Local hosts
  • Public and Private Servers
  • Key Advantage: Players joining your server DO NOT need to install this mod. It functions entirely on the server side.

Config location

Settings are saved per-world at: …/[world_folder]/nomobspawn/nomobspawn.json

Core Mod Commands

⚠️ Note: By default, all commands from this list are available only to players with permission level 3 (Admin) and higher. There are 5 permission levels in total (0-4). [Configurable parameter]

  • /nomobspawn [mob_ID] - adds a mob to the blacklist
  • /nomobspawn remove [mob_ID] - removes a mob from the blacklist
  • /nomobspawn list - displays the list of blocked mobs
  • /nomobspawn list clear - completely clears the blacklist of blocked mobs
  • /nomobspawn all - adds all mobs to the blacklist
  • /nomobspawn all clear - disables the global spawn block for all mobs
  • /nomobspawn mob remove - purges all blacklisted mobs from the world
  • /nomobspawn favorite [mob_ID] - adding a mob to favorites
  • /nomobspawn favorite remove [mob_ID] - removing a mob from favorites
  • /nomobspawn favorite list - show favorites list
  • /nomobspawn favorite list clear - clear favorites list

Permission Setup Commands

⚠️ Note: All commands from this list are available only to players with permission level 4 (Owner).

  • /nms perm get - displays the current permission level
  • /nms perm set <0-4> - sets the required permission level for the core mod commands

Notes

By default, a local world also acts as a server. This means you have the maximum permission level and can use all commands.

When playing on a multiplayer server, you must have the required permission level to use commands. Please consult the server owner for details.

This mod works with most modded mobs. If a specific mob does not appear in the command suggestion list, you can still type its ID manually.
