Description
Noob's Mod Switches
This is not a mod. It is a set of data packs for server owners. Players do not need to install anything.
Data packs that let a server turn off features of Noob's mods. Each pack switches off one thing, so you only add the ones you need.
Available packs
Noob's Container Searcher
| Pack | What it does |
|---|---|
disable-mod |
Turns the whole mod off on your server. |
disable-librarian-reroll |
Turns off only the librarian reroll feature. |
When a feature is disabled, players with the mod still see its menu, but it shows a red cross and a notice that the feature was disabled by the server administration, with a hint to contact them. Players without the mod notice nothing.
Installation
- Download the zip of the pack you want.
- Put it, still zipped, in
world/datapacks/on your server (or in thedatapacksfolder of a singleplayer world). - Run
/reloador restart the server. - Check with
/datapack listthat the pack is enabled.
To turn a feature back on, remove the zip and run /reload.
Compatibility
- Works on Minecraft 1.21.1 up to 26.3 with the same file, no separate downloads per version.
- Works on vanilla, Paper, Fabric and NeoForge servers.
- Needs no mod on the server. It only affects players who have the matching mod installed.
- Does not change any vanilla gameplay and does not conflict with other data packs.
How it works
Each pack only defines a block tag in its own namespace, for example noobs_container_searcher:disable_mod. The tag is synced to every client, and the mod checks whether it exists. Nothing else is changed.
