About

Description

Nostalgic Soundscapes makes Minecraft's vanilla soundtrack follow the world around you. Instead of unrelated random background music, it chooses from 27 vanilla tracks using your dimension, biome atmosphere, local time, weather, and depth.

Features

  • Context-aware music for Overworld, Nether, and The End.
  • Classic favorites such as Sweden, Subwoofer Lullaby, Mice on Venus, Haggstrom, Oxygene, Warmth, and The End.
  • Biome moods for forests, oceans, mountains, deserts, caves, Deep Dark, Nether biomes, End main island, and End outer islands.
  • Time moods covering dawn, morning, midday, afternoon, sunset, night, and deep night.
  • Weather and underground weighting for rain, thunder, caves, and Deep Dark.
  • Two-Minecraft-day rotation with recent-track suppression to reduce repeats.
  • Smooth 3-second fades and short transition gaps after sleep, /time jumps, biome changes, and dimension travel.
  • Jukebox records, credits music, and Ender Dragon music keep priority.

Client-only

Install this mod only in your client mods folder. Servers do not need it, and vanilla servers remain compatible.

Vanilla audio

No Minecraft audio files are included. The mod references music already supplied by Minecraft 1.21.1, so the download stays small and compatible resource packs can replace those tracks.

This mod is still in development. If you find any bugs or have suggestions for the mod, leave them in the comments.
