Not So Fast!
No reviews yet
Minecraft is too fast. Wood in twenty seconds, stone in a minute, iron before the first night, the Nether in ten minutes, the dragon before dinner. Most of the game never gets played.

How it works
Each stage gets its own tab in the advancements screen (L). Complete every mission in it and a purple challenge advancement pops, a title flashes on screen and the next tier opens.
| Stage | Missions | Locked until you finish it |
|---|---|---|
| 1 · Wood Age | 44 | stone tools |
| 2 · Stone Age | 53 | iron & gold (ores, ingots, tools, armor) |
| 3 · Iron Age | 55 | diamonds, obsidian, enchanting table |
| 4 · Diamond Age | 56 | the Nether (the portal lights, it just won't take you) |
| 5 · The Nether | 55 | blazes are invulnerable; blaze rods, powder and brewing stands |
| 6 · Alchemy | 32 | eyes of ender and netherite |
| 7 · Legends | 43 | the End |
| 8 · The End | 27 | nothing — the finish line. Do stages 1-8: Champion |
| 9 · Aftergame | 47 | for after the dragon. Purple challenges only: Immortal |
| 10 · Super Challenges | 35 | for after the dragon. Nobody is expected to finish this: Godlike |
| Specialty · Villain | 30 | a side tab, open from day one, locks nothing: Supervillain |
| Specialty · Builder | 38 | the mod counts what stands around you: beds, bookshelves, glass, crops...: Master Builder |
| Specialty · Redstone | 32 | it counts your wiring too: dust, pistons, hoppers, rails, lit lamps: Redstone Engineer |
| Specialty · Nightmare | 28 | written in red, for after the dragon. Not meant to be finished: Impossible |
A locked item cannot be picked up, taken out of any slot (crafting result, furnace, chest, villager trade), used, swung or worn — if it somehow lands in your inventory it drops on the floor. A locked block cannot be mined. Every refusal tells you which stage unlocks it and how many missions you have left. Creative and spectator bypass everything.
M opens the missions screen: one tab per stage, every mission as a card with its icon, description, a progress bar and a live counter (123/500 m, 3/10 h). N toggles the tracker in the top-right corner: current stage, progress bar and the four missions you are closest to finishing. Both are fed by the server, so they are exact on dedicated servers too. The vanilla advancements screen (L) still works and shows each stage as a branching tree, fully visible from the start (the mod lifts vanilla's two-level fog). /missions prints the list in chat.
Details
- Fabric, Minecraft 1.21.11, needs Fabric API
- Boss fights are tracked by the mod itself: speed, armor and death count at the moment the dragon dies
- English and Spanish
- Progress is per player (it's advancements) — on a server everyone climbs at their own pace
- No config file: the missions are plain advancement JSON in the jar, the locks are one Java class. Data pack authors can override any mission.
- Works on a dedicated server (all logic is server-side)
Minecraft has a hundred things in it. Now you'll do them.
