O.S Engineering - Quarry & Transport Pipes

A classic engineering toolkit for NeoForge 1.21.1: a quarry that digs whole areas for you, and the transport pipes many players remember from old-school tech mods.

Engineering Quarry

  • Mines a 16×16, 32×32 or 64×64 area layer by layer, down to bedrock.
  • Runs on Forge Energy (FE): 40 FE per block by default. Set it to 0 to run it without power.
  • Clean GUI with Start / Pause / Resume / Stop, current layer, blocks mined, the last block, progress and energy.
  • Puts what it mines into an inventory next to it, and waits when that inventory is full.
  • Server-friendly: a per-server limit on running quarries, it waits for loaded chunks, and the GUI is server-authoritative. Only the player who started a quarry can stop or resize it.

Item pipes (11)

Pipe What it does
Wooden pulls items out of inventories (redstone: 1 item / 0.5 s; with FE: up to a stack)
Cobblestone / Stone basic pipes that don't connect to each other, so you can lay parallel lines
Sandstone connects only to pipes, never to inventories
Quartz a slightly faster basic pipe
Golden speeds up every item passing through
Iron one-way output; click to choose the side
Diamond sorting with a filter per side
Obsidian sucks up dropped items in front of it
Clay fills inventories along the line first
Void deletes items (an overflow trash can)

Fluid pipes (4)

Wooden (pump: 20 mB/t with redstone, 100 mB/t with FE), Cobblestone, Stone, and Golden (200 mB/t). All of them are waterproof.

Config

config/obmorok_engineering.properties sets energy per block, buffer, input rate, blocks per step, tick interval and the max number of active quarries. Use the same file on the server and the clients.

Compatibility

  • Needs only NeoForge 1.21.1.
  • With Create installed, the quarry recipe uses a precision mechanism and andesite casing. Without Create, it uses a vanilla recipe (diamond pickaxe, observer, diamonds, iron).
  • Works with any FE energy source.
  • Languages: English and Russian.
