Description

🌊 OceansWorld Addon

A Forge 1.16.5 server addon built for One Piece themed servers running Mine Mine no Mi. It layers a full player-driven economy, automated world news, a leaderboard, and lore structures on top of your existing setup — without ever requiring Mine Mine no Mi as a compile dependency, so it stays compatible across builds.

✨ WHAT IT ADDS

🪙 Coin — a stackable server currency item. Works out of the box with any shop plugin that accepts custom items as currency.

💠 Doriki Coin — lock away a chunk of your Doriki into a tradeable item, redeem it back later.

📦 Rere Box, Legend Box, Clothes Box — three configurable loot boxes. Fill them in-game with any item from any installed mod; rarity weight is calculated automatically from each item's real Attack Damage stat, so stronger gear is naturally rarer. Opening a box requires a Mine Mine no Mi Key.

📰 Morgan's Newspaper — a newspaper item admins can write and hand out to every online player instantly, plus a fully automated news system that reports pirate/marine/revolutionary kills, legendary box pulls, new Yonko entries, notable boss kills, and more, all on its own.

👑 Yonko Leaderboard — live Top 4 rankings by Bounty and by Doriki, with automatic news whenever a new name breaks into the top 4.

🗿 Road Poneglyph — a lore block with three ancient-text faces, indestructible outside creative mode. Build enough of them into a solid cube and the first player to interact with it earns a Poneglyph Paper (recording the structure's coordinates) and a chance at a bonus loot box.

⚔️ Bounty & mob-kill rewards — configure any mob (vanilla, modded, or a CustomNPCs boss) to grant Bounty, items, or trigger a newspaper the moment a player kills it.

📞 New: Den Den Mushi

A working in-game phone system, One Piece style.

/dendenmushi <player> <message>

Places a call to another online player. Costs 1 Coin. The target is rung immediately with a custom call sound - the message itself is only delivered once they pick up: hold any Den Den Mushi in your hand and right click it. They receive a normal vanilla Paper item with your message written as lore, signed with your name at the end.

17 Den Den Mushi skins included, all fully functional and interchangeable: a generic one, plus Ace, Blackbeard, Brook, Buggy, Chopper, Crocodile, Doflamingo, Enel, Franky, Jinbei, Kaido, Law, Luffy, Oden, Roger, and Whitebeard. Every skin behaves identically for calling and answering - it's cosmetic - except for one thing:

👑 Yonko-tier snails

Holding a Yonko-tier Den Den Mushi (Kaido, Whitebeard, and Blackbeard by default) in your main hand when you place a call charges 1 Doriki Coin instead of a Coin. The list of which snails count as Yonko-tier is fully configurable.

☎️ Group calls

A shared line multiple players can talk on together.

/dendenmushi creategroup <name> <public|private> - costs 10 Coin

/dendenmushi join <name>

/dendenmushi invite <group> <player> - owner/admin only, for private groups

/dendenmushi groupadmin <group> <player> - owner only, appoints an admin who can invite and rename

/dendenmushi rename <group> <newName>

/dendenmushi deletegroup <group> - owner only

/dendenmushi group <group> <message> - rings every online member at once

/dendenmushi leave <group>

/dendenmushi groups - lists the groups you're in, plus public groups you can join

WHAT NEWS:

🌊 New: Haki Awakening

A full progression system built on top of Mine Mine no Mi's own Haki, kept completely independent from its hakiexp/doriki gates. Reaching Mine Mine no Mi's own hakiexp requirement does NOT awaken anything on its own - Haki now only ever unlocks through the specific in-game actions below, making it genuinely hard to reach, the same way it is in the anime.

All three Haki types work the same way: several different actions each add progress toward that type's own awakening meter.

Busoshoku (Armament) Haki awakens through:

- Dealing damage in combat

- Taking damage in combat

- Killing mobs with a sword or bare fist

Kenbunshoku (Observation) Haki awakens through:

- Staying in dark areas

- Taking damage

- Traveling long distances

- Surviving near-death moments

Haoshoku (Conqueror's) Haki awakens through:

- Killing bosses - configurable to match Mine Mine no Mi's own bosses, another mod's mobs, or CustomNPCs bosses by name

- Killing other players (on a cooldown, so it can't be farmed)

Awakening a type doesn't hand over its full skill tree at once. Crossing the awakening threshold grants only its starting ability (or abilities): Hardening + Imbuing for Armament, Future Sight for Observation, Haoshoku Haki itself for Conqueror's. The exact same actions keep counting afterward toward a much higher mastery threshold, which unlocks everything else that type has: Full Body Hardening, Emission, and Internal Destruction for Armament; Aura for Observation; Haoshoku Haki Infusion for Conqueror's.

Every threshold and every point value is fully configurable in config/oceansworld/haki.json, along with the list of bosses that count toward Conqueror's Haki - no recompiling ever needed to retune the difficulty or add a boss.

Two new commands:

/haki awakening <type> <player> - admin only, instantly force-awakens a type for a player, bypassing all normal progress requirements

/haki progress [player] - shows current point totals and awakened/mastered status for all three types

Awakening and mastery are announced to the whole server in chat, color-coded by type: Busoshoku in dark purple, Kenbunshoku in white/silver, and Haoshoku in dark red.

Right click a Coin stack — refunds the whole stack back into Belly at the same rate bellycoin charges.

Right click a Doriki Coin — redeems the stored Doriki back to you and consumes the item.

Right click a newspaper — your first several reads (configurable) have a random chance of rewarding 1 Coin.

Right click a Road Poneglyph once the full structure is built — gives the first player a Poneglyph Paper and a chance at a bonus box.

⚙️ CONFIG FILES

All files live under config/oceansworld/ and are created automatically the first time the server starts. Every file is plain JSON — edit it in any text editor and either restart the server or run /oceansworld box reload where applicable, no recompiling ever required.

general.json

Core economy tuning: baseWeight, exponent and minWeight control the auto-rarity curve for loot boxes; bellyPerCoin sets the Belly cost of one Coin; minDorikiPerCoin sets the minimum size of a Doriki Coin.

mineminenomi_compat.json

The exact capability id and stat key names this addon reads Belly/Doriki/Bounty from. Only needs editing if a different Mine Mine no Mi build uses different internal names.

boxes/rere_box.json, boxes/legend_box.json, boxes/clothes_box.json

The actual loot pool for each box — normally managed with /oceansworld box additem rather than hand-edited, but fully readable/editable JSON if you prefer.

faction_news.json

Faction id strings for Pirate, Marine, and Revolutionary, plus the Bounty and Doriki thresholds that decide what counts as "high bounty" or "powerful" for the automatic pirate/marine/revolutionary news.

bounty_rules.json

Configures the Marine Captain kill bonus — match by entity type and/or exact display name, and how much Bounty it awards.

notable_kills.json

A list of one-time hand-written news entries tied to a specific mob or boss (matched by entity type and/or display name). Each entry fires exactly once, ever, then stays off.

mob_kill_rewards.json

A list of repeatable rules for ANY mob (vanilla, modded, or CustomNPCs). Each matching kill can drop configurable reward items at their own individual chance and/or broadcast a newspaper using {player} and {mob} placeholders.

news_reward.json

Controls the random Coin reward for reading a newspaper: coinChance (0.0-1.0) and maxRewardedReads (how many of your reads, ever, are even eligible).

poneglyph.json

structureSize sets the side length of the solid cube of Road Poneglyph blocks needed to activate it. onceOnly decides whether the reward is given out one time total or to every player who interacts with it. boxRewardEnabled and boxRewardChance control the bonus loot box odds, and boxRewardPool lists which box item ids can be picked.

poneglyph_permissions.json, poneglyph_claimed.json, yonko_state.json, news_read_counts.json

Internal state files the mod manages on its own (who's allowed to use /oceansworld morgan, which Poneglyph structures have already been claimed, the last known Top 4, and per-player newspaper read counts). Not meant for manual editing, but plain JSON if you ever need to inspect or reset something.

🔧 REQUIREMENTS

Minecraft 1.16.5, Minecraft Forge, and Mine Mine no Mi installed on the server for the Belly/Doriki/Bounty features to function. The mod loads and its loot boxes/newspaper/Poneglyph features still work even without Mine Mine no Mi present — only the Belly/Doriki/Bounty economy commands need it.
