OpenPAC Admin Protection

Requires Open Parties and Claims (OpenPAC)

OpenPAC Admin Protection is a server-side addon that turns your standard OpenPAC server claims into permanent, heavily protected Safe Zones. It doesn't add a bulky new claiming system; it simply gives OpenPAC's built-in "Server Claims" the superpowers they deserve.

 What does it protect against?

Any chunk you claim for the server gets these protections automatically (regular player claims stay completely normal!):

  • Permanent Claims: Your server claims will never accidentally expire. I hooked into OpenPAC's expiration mechanics so your spawn is always safe.
  • Peace & Quiet: All natural mob spawns are blocked.
  • Total Safety (No Damage): Players inside the zone are completely immune to all incoming damage (PvP, fall damage, creepers, fire, etc.).
  • No More Starving: While inside the safe zone, players' hunger is kept full and saturation is locked. Your players can go AFK without starving!
  • Tamed Lightning: Lightning strikes are visual only. No fire, no damage, no surprises.
  • Fire Prevention: The mod actively watches for fire blocks and instantly turns them into air before they can spread.

How to Use (Step-by-Step)

I wanted this to be as painless as possible. Everything works right through your normal OpenPAC map. Here is how you protect your spawn:

  1. Make sure you have OP permissions.
  2. Type /openpac-claims admin open_claim_ui to toggle your map into Server Claim Mode.
  3. Open your standard OpenPAC map and claim the chunks you want to protect. They are now registered to the server!
  4. Type /openpac-claims admin open_claim_ui again to toggle back to normal player claiming.

That's it! Those chunks are now permanently protected.

Commands & Global Configs

Everything is enabled by default, but you can toggle protections on the fly using these commands. Important: These settings are global. You can't have fire protection in Claim A but disable it in Claim B. These toggles apply to ALL server claims on your map at once.

  • /openpac-claims admin open_claim_ui - Toggles your map into server-claiming mode.
  • /openpac-claims admin pvp <on/off> - Toggles damage protection. (Note: This actually disables ALL incoming damage and the hunger reset, not just PvP!)
  • /openpac-claims admin mobs <on/off> - Toggles natural mob spawn prevention.
  • /openpac-claims admin fire <on/off> - Toggles fire spread protection.
  • /openpac-claims admin lightning <on/off> - Toggles visual-only lightning.

A Quick Note on Chunk Borders:

Protections are strictly chunk-based. The moment a player steps one block outside the protected chunk, vanilla rules apply again. Also, because of how I check for fire updates, the mod might occasionally extinguish a fire on a block just outside your border if it touches the claim. Just something to keep in mind!

I hope this makes managing your server a little bit easier.
