Description
Ore Stock Market
Turn your ores into a real stock market. Every ore and ingot has a live price that rises and falls over time, and every trade you make moves the market.
Overview
Ore Stock Market adds the Stock Exchange Table, a block that opens a trading screen. Sell the ores you mined for euros, buy back what you need, and watch the prices react. Players who sell at the right time earn more.
Features
- 9 tradeable items from coal and copper ingots up to diamonds and netherite ingots
- Live prices that move every 5 minutes like stocks, with a pull back towards the base price so nothing gets out of hand
- Prices react to trades. Selling a lot pushes the price down, buying pushes it up
- Fair settlement at the average price of each trade, so there is no way to make money by buying and selling the same item back and forth
- Personal euro balance for every player, saved across restarts and stored to the cent
- Real cash: withdraw your balance as stackable euro coins and notes (1 and 2 euro coins, 5 to 500 euro notes) and deposit them again 1:1, no fees
- Server-side screen based on a normal chest window, no extra client screen needed
- Sell everything button that sells all tradeable items from your inventory at once
- English and German translations, numbers follow your game language
Base prices
| Item | € | Item | € |
|---|---|---|---|
| Coal | 3 | Lapis Lazuli | 3 |
| Copper Ingot | 4 | Nether Quartz | 5 |
| Iron Ingot | 10 | Diamond | 100 |
| Gold Ingot | 25 | Netherite Ingot | 800 |
| Redstone | 2 |
Prices can move between 30 % and 300 % of the base price. Buying costs 10 % more than selling.
Emeralds are not tradeable on purpose: villagers pay emeralds for cheap coal and iron, which would turn the market into a money printer.
Crafting the Stock Exchange Table
Shapeless recipe, one of each:
Coal, Iron Ingot, Copper Ingot, Gold Ingot, Emerald, Diamond, Redstone Dust, Lapis Lazuli, Amethyst Shard
Mine it with a pickaxe to pick it up again.
How to use it
Right-click the table to open the market.
- Left-click an item to buy 1
- Shift + left-click to buy 64
- Right-click to sell 1
- Shift + right-click to sell all of that item
- Hopper at the bottom sells all tradeable items in your inventory
- Coins and notes row: left-click withdraws 1, shift + left-click withdraws 10, right-click deposits 1, shift + right-click deposits all of that value
- Chest deposits all cash from your inventory at once
- Gold block shows your balance, your cash and your last action
- Clock shows the time until the next price update
Cash can be traded between players like any other item, and notes do not burn in lava.
Each item shows its sell price, buy price, trend since the last update and how many you have.
