OREBOUND Core is an underground mining and progression mod built around the idea that mining should become an industrial operation rather than remain a simple hunt for scattered ores.

Begin with basic prospecting tools, discover massive Resource Seams, construct increasingly powerful mining machines, establish remote extraction sites, and push through progressively harsher geological layers beneath the world.

Eventually, your search leads far beyond ordinary mining—to the World Core, the enormous geological system regulating the planet itself.

⛏️ Mining Progression

OREBOUND replaces the usual “find an ore vein and move on” loop with a much larger resource system.

• Resource Seams create valuable large-scale deposits worth building infrastructure around.
• Prospecting tools and scanners help locate resources instead of relying entirely on random tunneling.
• Mechanical and powered mining machines allow extraction operations to grow alongside your technology.
• Geological zones and deep strata introduce increasingly dangerous and valuable underground regions.
• Remote mining sites are designed to become permanent industrial outposts rather than temporary holes in the ground.
• Advanced systems eventually lead into the World Core, Quantum Bore, Quantum Industry, and Worldheart.

⚙️ Industrial Mining

OREBOUND is designed around progression from a single miner with basic tools into a connected underground industry.

Mining machines expose inventories for automation and can integrate with larger logistics systems, allowing distant resources to be transported back to centralized storage, processing, and manufacturing facilities.

The mod also includes optional integrations with major technology mods such as Create, Mekanism, Powah, Applied Energistics 2, ExtendedAE, and MEGA Cells when they are installed.

🌎 The World Below

The deeper you travel, the more unusual the geology becomes.

OREBOUND introduces multiple underground progression regions, specialized materials, powerful equipment, abandoned industrial locations, and technology designed for environments far beyond ordinary mining.

At the deepest stages of progression, players can construct the massive Quantum Bore to safely extract material from the World Core and eventually assemble the Worldheart, a late-game multiblock designed around one of OREBOUND's largest engineering challenges.

📖 Field Manual & Recovered Archives

The OREBOUND Field Manual provides in-game documentation for the mod's major systems, including prospecting, Resource Seams, mining machines, geological zones, the Quantum Bore, Worldheart, logistics, and other mechanics.

Hidden throughout the later progression are also 30 Recovered Archives documenting the civilization that explored the depths before you.

The complete lore can be read without voice acting. Optional recorded archive audio is planned to be added gradually in future updates.

OREBOUND Core contains the custom systems, machines, materials, geology, equipment, structures, and endgame technology that power the larger project.

OREBOUND is designed primarily for new worlds.

The mod significantly affects world progression and underground generation and establishes special progression locations such as the Origin.

If installing OREBOUND Core into an existing world, make a backup first.
