Description
Note: Several critical bugs have been fixed, please update.
"A race of space-time manipulators who were trapped in the Void long ago and recently escaped."
Abilities:
Planewalk:
"Main key while sneaking. Places/removes a tether that transports the user to and from the Void dimension when moving a certain distance away."
Phaseshift:
"Main key while not sneaking. While active the user is intangible to other entities and vice versa."
Dimensional Rift:
"(3s CD) Secondary key while not sneaking. Enables/disables the next attack on a block making blocks in a range intangible."
Positional Anchor:
"(4s CD) Secondary key while sneaking. Places/removes a tether that the next attacked entity teleports to. Sneaking during the attack teleports the user to the entity's last position."
Spatial Stride:
"(4s CD) User can have creative flight for 0.35 seconds. Fall distance is not reset."
Clairvoyance:
"Entities that are sneaking and/or invisible are highlighted to you."
Tarnished Reputation:
"Golems will attack you and villagers will not trade with you unless you have the Hero of the Village effect. Piglins attack you no matter the circumstances."
Soulfood:
"Food does not give you nutrition and you only get 25% as much experience. You consume experience orbs for nutrition and you only gain experience from them at full hunger. You can create Bottles o' Enchanting by using glass bottles. You cannot do enchanting, but anvils do not require levels."
Corrupted Blood:
"You are immune to vanilla medicine. Milk does not cure potion effects."
Insomniac:
"Sleeping does not stave off phantoms. You are severely weakened after resting."
Overspecialization:
"You are unable to use chorus fruits and enderpearls. You are unable to glide."
FAQ:
Q: Help! I am eating food, but it doesn't give me anything?
A: You consume experience for nutrition, review the Soulfood power.
Q: How exactly do I create Bottles o' Enchanting?
A: You right click with an empty bottle in your hand. You need 6 or more hunger (in halves) for it to work.
Q: How do I use Spatial Stride?
A: You double tap space as you would to fly in Creative mode.
Q: What's so useful about the Void dimension?
A: You can use it as a form of storage space, however it's main use is travel; it has a coordinate scaling of 100, making it miles better than the Nether. The teleporting is exact enough that you can place waypoints marked out by blocks. Be warned, the Void dimension stays constant between all dimensions, so you might wanna label your 'waypoints'.
Q: What is 'coordinate scaling'?
A: Coordinate scaling controls how each unit of distance translates between dimensions. To put it simply, for every block you travel in the Void, you travel 100 blocks in the Overworld. Consequently, you travel 1 block in the Void for every 100 blocks you move in the Overworld.
Q: Why can't I teleport out of the Void?
A: The most likely answer is that the position you are attempting to teleport to is not safe. Try teleporting on one of the blocks around it.
Q: What exactly does Phaseshift do?
A: Basically you can't directly see or interact with other entities, and they cannot directly see or interact with you. Also, it's not unlimited; it's tied to a resource bar that has a buffer before it recharges.
Q: Why is the maximum duration of Phaseshift so inconsistent?
A: If you are using an item, the resource bar decreases at a massively inflated rate. It also decreases twice as fast while sprinting.
Q: 'You are immune to most medicine'?
A: Health-related vanilla effects don't work on you. (Regeneration, Instant Health, etc)
Q: 'You are unable to glide' / Why can't I fly?
A: You can put on an Elytra, but you are too inept at other forms of travel that you can't use it.
Q: 'Sleeping does not stave off Phantoms'?
A: The Insomnia mechanic can't be avoided using sleep. This means that the game basically thinks you have never slept, ever. Have fun dealing with Phantoms like every night :)
Q: 'Piglins attack you no matter the circumstances'?
A: Piglins absolutely LOATHE you. They will even pass up gold on the ground to attack. Similarly, gold armor doesn't do jack.
Q: What are 'intangible' blocks?
A: You might as well consider them air, but they aren't. It shouldn't break/stall any redstone machines, or other contraptions. Unless, of course, the machine requires an entity to stay in place, because instead they will fall through the intangible blocks.
Q: Can I exceed the enchant limit or apply invalid enchants?
A: No.
Tips/Tricks:
- Make sure to store some Bottles o' Enchanting for when you sleep. Your hunger bar gets thanos-snapped upon sleeping.
- Use Planewalk to search for specific biomes, Nether Fortresses, specific coordinates, and other forms of high-distance searching/travel.
- Don't get damaged during Planewalk or it will deactivate.
- Mark important locations inside the Void dimension with blocks or signs (make sure to not accidentally leak a secret location to other Planewalkers this way though).
- Use Positional Anchor with a bow to teleport across lava-filled gaps in the Nether (try NOT to anger the hordes of Zombie Pigmen).
- Use Spatial Stride to save yourself from falling off cliffs, adjust your fall to a safer landing spot, and cross medium-sized gaps/heights.
- Be wary that Spatial Stride can be prematurely canceled by damage.
- Mine into a wall you used Dimensional Rift on and undo the rift for a quick getaway.
- Use Phaseshift to distance yourself from risky situations, or to use an item or two.
- Be wary that damage can cancel your Phaseshift and also prolong the buffer period before it regens some of it's bar.
