Description

The endgame of Create: Echoes of the Great Derailment.
Two hundred years ago, one machine broke the world.
Its builders sealed it away on an island above the clouds, and never came back.

Version 2.0. First public release, made for the 2.0 update of the modpack. It can be played from the first signal to the crystal, but it is still being tested, so expect a few rough edges.

Strange frequencies crackle through the Echo Resonator: the last whispers of the old machine. Hunt down the four Orientation Echoes, carried by some of the deadliest creatures in the world, and the signal finally points somewhere impossible. Up.

Once your Resonator locks onto the complex, Cogsworth sounds the call: the mentors fold their tents and climb aboard your airship, and together you cross the sky to a floating island that no map remembers. At the foot of a sealed complex, a campfire burns on Oryn for the first time in two centuries.

The great door won't budge. Seven doors, seven keys, and not a single note left behind... or so it seems.

Vex walks the walls and copies every message the people of Oryn carved into the stone. The trail ends deep in the island's cave, where something very old is guarding the first key.

Behind the great door, the complex is split into six sealed zones: Control and Archives, the Manufactory, Production, Energy, Care and Rest and the Quarters. Each one has its own lock, and its own key to find.

Then the mentors move in. Bring the materials by hand, by Create belt or straight from your airship's hold, and watch them clear the vines, haul away the rubble and rebuild the zone around you, chatting all the way. Every finished worksite hands you the next key, and the Oryn Archives reveal a little more of what really happened here.

Bring the Oryn Manufactory back online and the old engineers' blueprints are yours: rail mills, brass foundries, crystal lamps, the Resonance Cannon and dozens more. Pick a blueprint, feed it the materials and set the finished machine down wherever you need it.

At the heart of the complex, the great Hall still holds the cradle of the crystal. Cracked, overgrown, silent.

Restore every zone. Bring back the sixteen Major Echoes and set them in the four pylons. Then, and only then, the crystal wakes up, and its power flows straight into your Create machines.

Oryn was built for a crowd. Before the first Echo touches a pylon, the server decides how the story ends:
- Cooperation. One island, one worksite, one crystal for everyone. Every zone repaired counts for the whole server, and the energy flows without limit. Keys, zone quests and loot stay with each team, so nobody is left behind.
- Competition. Sixteen cradles, sixteen shares of power, and every team wants them. Place your Echoes and hold them. When the crystal turns unstable, steal your rivals' Echoes... or lease them a cradle, for a price.
Playing solo? The island is all yours.

- Made for the modpack. Oryn Machina is the final chapter of Create: Echoes of the Great Derailment. To play it, install the modpack.
- Minecraft 1.21.1 with NeoForge. Requires Create, Create: Echoes Core and Athena. Works with Create: New Age.
- Single player or server, in English, French and Simplified Chinese.
