Description

🛡️ OVERLORD_GUARDIAN V2.0

General Description
Overlord is a Vanilla modification (Datapack) designed for Paper 1.21.4 servers, introducing an advanced loyal companion system ("Guardians") and rebalancing game difficulty through a "Horde" system featuring elite enemy variants.

1. GUARDIAN SYSTEM

This module allows nearly any hostile entity to be recruited into a permanent, loyal bodyguard.

🔹 Universal Recruitment

  • Method: Using a Name Tag renamed to Guardian on the target entity.
  • You also most join the 'Guardianes' team, otherwise they may still atack you.
  • Compatibility: Works on Zombies, Skeletons, Witches, Illagers (Pillagers/Vindicators), Blazes, Spiders, etc.
  • Identification: Recruited Guardians display a permanent glowing blue outline to distinguish them from enemies.

🔹 "Tank" Attributes

Once transformed, the unit receives massive enhancements to ensure survivability:

  • Health: 240 HP (120 Hearts).
  • Environmental Immunities: Full resistance to Fire, Lava, Drowning, and Fall Damage.
  • Sunlight Resistance: Undead mobs (Zombies/Skeletons) no longer burn in daylight.
  • Healing Factor: Passive health regeneration after 5 seconds out of combat.

🔹 AI Behavior

  • Smart Targeting: Guardians actively attack hostile monsters but strictly ignore:
    • Players on the security team.
    • Pets (Wolves, Cats, Parrots).
    • Villagers and Iron Golems.
    • Allied Guardians.
    • Tactical Aggression: Uses a periodic "Taunt" system that forces nearby enemies to focus on the Guardian instead of the player.

2. COMMAND SYSTEM

Unit control is handled via interactions with common items—no chat commands required.

Item Action Mechanical Effect
Gold Nugget Throw (Q) nearby Medical Supplies: Instantly restores unit health.
Magma Cream Throw (Q) nearby Tactical Order Switch:
1. Escort Mode: Unit follows the player (default behavior).
2. Sentinel Mode: Unit remains stationary at its current position with increased resistance (ideal for guarding entrances).
Blaze Rod Crouch (Shift) while holding it Emergency Call: Instantly teleports all Guardians in "Escort Mode" to the player’s location.
Bed Proximity Honor Guard: If a Guardian detects a nearby bed, it automatically enters static defensive mode (Sentinel).

3. THE BESTIARY

To counterbalance Guardian power, the system modifies hostile mob spawning. Each time an enemy spawns, the system determines its variant:

🔴 The "Nightmare" Horde

Enhanced versions of base mobs.

  • Upgrades: +40% movement speed and +8 extra Hearts of health.
  • Purpose: Prevents enemies from becoming trivial in the face of Guardian strength.

🟣 "Mythic" Elites

Rare variants equipped with custom gear and stats, acting as mini-bosses.

Zombie Variants:

  1. Titan: Giant-sized (Scale 1.2), extremely slow, wears heavy armor, and wields a massive axe for high damage.
  2. Berserker: Increased speed, no armor, wields an enchanted Golden Sword—delivers rapid, high DPS.

Skeleton Variants:

  1. Sniper: Invisible and stationary, equipped with a high-power bow (Power IV).
  2. Vanguard: Heavy infantry unit with full chainmail armor and a rapid-fire crossbow.

Creeper Variants:

  1. Nuke: Giant, charged (electric) Creeper. Large explosion radius, slow movement.
  2. Ghost: Fully invisible and silent, but detonates quickly with a small blast radius.

Spider Variants:

  1. Goliath: Giant spider (Scale 1.5), with increased health and damage.
  2. Weaver: Tiny spider (Scale 0.6), with extreme speed and high evasion difficulty.

Compatibility Summary

  • Version: Paper/Spigot 1.21.4.
  • Requirements: None (100% Vanilla-compatible via Datapacks).
  • Conflicts: Designed to override external plugin AI when necessary, ensuring Guardian loyalty at all times.
