About

Description

Bring Minecraft’s background music into your jukebox.

Overworld Records adds 60 music discs featuring Minecraft’s built-in soundtrack by C418, Lena Raine, Kumi Tanioka, and Aaron Cherof. Play your favorites whenever you want, discover records while exploring, and build your collection in illustrated albums.

Your soundtrack, on demand

From familiar Overworld melodies to Creative tracks, ocean ambience, and music from the Nether and End, every built-in Minecraft 1.21.1 background track gets its own playable disc.

The discs work in ordinary jukeboxes, using Minecraft’s record volume controls, positional sound, and standard hopper and redstone behavior.

Selected C418 tracks have shortened quiet intros, enabled by default. Prefer the original opening? You can turn this off in the config.

Albums you can flip through

Collect your records in 13 themed albums, covering all 60 added discs and Minecraft’s 19 vanilla records.

Each album opens with its own cover artwork, composer information, and a short description. Flip through numbered pages to see track titles, durations, and missing records, then move discs between your inventory and their album slots.

The Creative tab starts with the music, followed by a dedicated Albums & Blanks section.

Press your own records

Getting started is simple:

  1. Craft a Blank Music Disc with paper, black dye, and an iron nugget.

  2. Put it in a stonecutter and choose a track.

  3. Place your new disc in a jukebox.

Added soundtrack discs can be crafted back into blanks whenever you want a different song.

For albums, craft a Blank Album with two paper and one leather, then use a stonecutter to choose a full collection.

Collect through exploration

Find bonus soundtrack discs in Overworld structures, ocean treasure, Nether structures, and End cities. Records have different rarities, and each location draws from an appropriate music pool.

For a collecting-focused playthrough, disable disc pressing in the config. Albums then become empty sleeves to fill as you discover records. Vanilla discs keep their normal Minecraft acquisition methods.

Configuration also lets you disable bonus chest loot, adjust its frequency, and restore full song intros.

All music plays from your existing Minecraft installation; no audio files or external music downloads are included.
