Resource Pack Category Selector
Minecraft 1.21.11, 26.1 & 26.2 | Fabric | Client Side
Resource Pack Category Selector makes it easy to choose which resource pack controls different types of Minecraft resources.
Instead of manually selecting individual textures, you can assign an entire resource pack to a category at once.
How It Works
For example, if you have:
- Pack A
- Pack B
- Pack C
You can set:
Blocks: Pack A
Items: Pack B
GUI: Pack C
Pack A will provide the block resources, Pack B will provide the item resources, and Pack C will provide the GUI resources.
You do not have to manually select every individual block, item, texture, or GUI element.

Resource Pack UI
Everything is managed directly through the normal Minecraft Resource Packs menu.
Press Categories to open the category selector.
Each category shows your installed resource packs and lets you choose which pack should control it.
For example:
Blocks: Pack A
Items: Pack B
Armor: Pack A
Weapons: Pack C
GUI: Pack B
After selecting a pack, you stay in the Categories menu so you can continue changing other categories.
When you are finished, press Done to apply the changes and return to the normal Resource Packs screen.
Resource Pack Priority
The mod handles conflicts between multiple resource packs by creating a separate override layer for your selected categories.
For example:
Blocks: Pack A
Items: Pack B
Pack A controls block resources while Pack B controls item resources.
Your original resource packs are not modified.
