Description

🔎 Pack Source Inspector

Pack Source Inspector shows exactly which mod or datapack provides the server-data resources, recipes, and tags Minecraft is actually using.

When multiple packs provide the same resource, it can be difficult to tell which file is winning, which one is being overridden, or how several tag files are combining.

Pack Source Inspector reads Minecraft's live server resource stack and gives pack authors and server admins a direct, read-only way to trace that provenance without modifying anything.

🧭 Features

  • Trace the provider of any server-data resource
  • Find which mod or datapack supplies a recipe
  • Inspect layered item, block, fluid, and entity-type tags
  • Detect replace=true tag
  • Inspect layered item, block, fluid, and entity-type tags
  • Detect replace=true tag resets and suppressed layers
  • Scan directories for resources provided by multiple packs
  • List the server's active datapack/resource-provider stack
  • Read-only operation — no recipe, tag, loot table, or datapack rewriting
  • Server-side only — players do not need the mod installed

🔬 Resource & Recipe Provenance

Ordinary Minecraft data resources use pack priority when multiple providers supply the same path.

Pack Source Inspector exposes that live provider stack so you can see:

  • Which pack currently wins
  • Which lower-priority providers are being shadowed
  • How many providers exist for the same resource
  • The actual datapack-relative path being resolved

Recipes can be inspected directly by resource ID, making it much easier to diagnose cases where one mod or datapack unexpectedly replaces another recipe.

🏷️ Correct Tag Layer Inspection

Minecraft tags do not behave like ordinary winner-takes-all resources.

Multiple packs can contribute to the same tag, while a later layer using replace=true can reset everything that came before it.

Pack Source Inspector reports:

  • Which packs currently contribute
  • Which layer uses replace=true
  • Which earlier layers were replaced
  • The effective provider order Minecraft is using

This makes it possible to debug tag conflicts without guessing which datapack is responsible.

💻 Commands

  • /packsource resource <namespace:path>
  • /packsource recipe <namespace:path>
  • /packsource tag item <namespace:path>
  • /packsource tag block <namespace:path>
  • /packsource tag fluid <namespace:path>
  • /packsource tag entity_type <namespace:path>
  • /packsource conflicts <directory>
  • /packsource packs

Conflict scans can be used on directories such as recipes, tags/items, loot_tables, advancements, and other server-data paths.

⚙️ Configuration

Pack Source Inspector includes configuration options for:

  • Minimum permission level required to use inspection commands
  • Maximum number of results displayed by conflict scans

The defaults are intended for administrative and pack-development use without affecting normal gameplay.

📦 Compatibility

Pack Source Inspector is a server-side Forge utility.

Players joining the server do not need Pack Source Inspector installed on their clients.

It has no required mod dependencies beyond Forge and inspects the live server-data resource stack, including resources supplied by vanilla, mods, and datapacks.

Check the Files tab for supported Minecraft and Forge versions.

🚧 Command Gate

Command Gate gives server owners configurable per-player cooldowns for arbitrary vanilla or modded commands. It works entirely server-side and requires no client installation.

Useful for controlling command spam, teleport commands, utility commands, and other commands that should have individual cooldown rules.

👥 Server Queue

Server Queue adds an in-world FIFO waiting queue when a Minecraft server reaches its normal player limit.

Queued players wait as controlled spectators and are automatically promoted when an active slot becomes available. Joining clients do not need the mod installed.
