Description

PackCheck

Check your gear before heading out. PackCheck is a read-only, client-side inventory readiness checklist for Minecraft. Choose an activity and see what you have and what is missing.

Features

  • Activity templates for Mining, Nether, End, Exploration, Building, Farming and PvP.
  • Create, rename, favorite and customize loadouts with an item icon picker.
  • A live HUD with Ready, Partially Ready and Missing Items states.
  • Rules for quantities, alternative items and tags, equipped armor, offhand, enchantments, remaining durability and version-appropriate NBT/component values.
  • Optional checks of carried shulker contents on supported versions; disabled by default.
  • Separate profiles per world or server, plus JSON import and export.
  • New in 0.2.0: opt-in readiness notifications, nearby portal reminders, and food/gear warnings. Enable them per world/server in Settings; all start off.

Installation

Install exactly ONE PackCheck jar matching your exact Minecraft version and loader in the client mods folder. Fabric builds require Fabric Loader and matching Fabric API; Forge builds require Forge. No server installation is needed.

Scope and verification

PackCheck never moves items or changes your inventory. It checks client-visible data. It does not inspect nearby chests, infer ender chest contents, or integrate with storage mods. Carried shulker checks require content data actually supplied to the client and are unavailable in Minecraft 1.8.9. Item IDs and predicates differ across Minecraft versions; importing a checklist does not migrate them.

All seven adapters passed in-world assertions and production package checks. Forge 1.16.5 completed its gameplay/UI assertions and clean game shutdown, but its development Gradle launcher then reported a daemon failure; that launcher issue remains unresolved. Live multiplayer, inventory-overhaul compatibility and full narrator accessibility remain unverified. NeoForge is not supported.
