Panic Ops

player-oriented companion mod for difficult Minecraft modpacks, with a web control panel and real-time WebSocket actions.


1. What is this for?

PanicOps helps players handle high-pressure situations from a phone or browser without opening server tools. It is designed to improve gameplay flow in hard modpacks, for example:

  • Clear or kill nearby mobs (hostile-only or all nearby living entities)
  • View and adjust player status (health, hunger, armor/hand durability)
  • Enchant held items (including levels above vanilla limits)
  • Manage potion effects (clear, add, adjust levels)
  • Teleport to world spawn and manage custom teleport points
  • Pair trusted devices and keep actions tied to your own device

2. Main Features

Web Panel

  • Device pairing by code or QR
  • Real-time WebSocket connection status
  • Live player status panel
  • Nearby entity radar heatmap (red=hostile, yellow=neutral, green=passive)
  • Emergency actions:
    • Clear nearby hostiles
    • Kill nearby hostiles
    • Clear nearby all living
    • Kill nearby all living
  • Utility actions:
    • Game mode switch (Survival / Creative / Adventure / Spectator)
    • Set day/night
    • Clear weather
  • Potion module:
    • Active effects shown outside modal, adjustable with +/-
    • Add missing effects from modal (includes mod-added effects)
    • Long press +/- changes by 10
  • Teleport module:
    • One-click to world spawn
    • Custom points: create / update / delete / teleport

In-Game Integration & Protection

  • Chat warning when a device connects, with clickable /kide <deviceId>
  • /panicops command for QR/device/pending management
  • /kide command to quickly remove suspicious devices
  • Tab completion for commands, subcommands, device IDs, and pending codes

3. Recommended Pairing Flow

  1. Join the world/server and get pair code + QR link in chat.
  2. Open the link on your phone (or run /panicops qr for latest QR page).
  3. Enter the pair code in the web page and finish pairing.
  4. Your device is trusted and can directly use the panel.

This immediately kicks and removes the specified device.


5. Teleport Point Ownership Isolation

  • Teleport points are persisted and reloaded after restart.
  • Points are isolated by device owner player:
    • You can only read/update/delete your own points.
    • Other players' points are not visible to your device.

6. Key Config Files

Under your game config/ directory:

  • panicops_devices.json — trusted paired devices
  • panicops_teleports.json — saved teleport points

7. Localization

Included language packs:

  • en_us
  • zh_cn
  • de_de
  • fr_fr

Both web-panel text and most in-game messages use localization keys.


8. FAQ

Q1: I click buttons in web panel and nothing happens.

  • Make sure the panel shows connected state.
  • Make sure the device is paired and trusted.
  • Restart game/server after updates so latest resources and logic are loaded.

Q2: What if an unknown device connects?

  • Click the /kide <deviceId> chat link immediately, or run the command manually.
