Description
Sick of your pets only having 2 choices, teleport or sit? No longer!
This mod allows you to set their ownership to a Copper Golem, and follow him for a little walkabout. When walkies are done, simply reclaim ownership of your pet to be back in charge.
How to set Copper Golem as owner:
Right click the tamed animal
Within 5s, right click a Copper Golem
Voila!
How to reclaim ownership:
Simply walk up to a tamed animal that is owned by a Copper Golem and right click!
Disclaimers:
- I don't track original ownership at all so this would allow you to change ownership of a tamed animal between players by using the Copper Golem as an intermediary
- There is a short timer to prevent certain race conditions that occur from changing ownership and affecting the sitting behaviour. Try not to heavily spam click, it will probably cause problems xD
- I also teleport the tamed animal to the owner as in some cases the ownership would change to the Golem but the pet would be outside of leash range. The leash isn't actually a necessary part of the behaviour, I just like the look of the Golem being a dog walker, so I teleport to the owner to resolve that. So when you take ownership back, your furry friend might teleport behind you
- This is my first mod. It has worked in my testing, both in single player and in a LAN game but outside of that, I have no idea what would happen. However in LAN testing we successfully traded ownership back and forth, and could both set ownership to the Golem
