Sleep out under the stars without losing your home.

Sleeping bags

  • Sleep through the night anywhere. Your spawn point never moves.
  • In the morning it rolls itself back into your inventory. (The straw bed of 26.3 also keeps your spawn, but it is used up when you get out. The bag comes with you.)
  • 16 colors. Recipe: 1 string over 3 wool.

Hammocks

  • Strung between its own two posts: place it anywhere.
  • Nap in the daytime and wake up at dusk. On a server it needs the same share of players asleep as a bed at night.
  • 16 colors. Recipe: 2 string, 3 wool, 2 sticks.

Cushion heights (Minecraft 26.3)

  • Sneak + right-click a cushion to lift it one pixel, up to 15. One more click and it is back on the ground.
  • No lantern, anvil or pressure plate hidden under it. Take the block under it away and it still drops, like vanilla.

Good to know

  • A camp bed never explodes: in the Nether and the End it just says "You can't rest here".
  • Vanilla beds work exactly as before.
  • config/pitch-camp.properties: roll up on wake, hammock naps, cushion heights.
  • Fabric 26.3 and 26.2, NeoForge 26.2. Needed on both the server and the client. English, Portuguese and Spanish.

Tested in game

  • Fabric 26.3: a scripted run inside the game - slept in a bag, the spawn stayed home and the bag rolled back into the pack; napped in a hammock until dusk; a cushion lifted pixel by pixel to 15 and back.
  • Fabric 26.2 and NeoForge 26.2: the same run for bags and hammocks.
