Description
PlayerRevive - Alamaos Edition
PlayerRevive - Alamaos Edition is an unofficial maintained fork of PlayerRevive by CreativeMD, focused on keeping the mod functional, compatible, and accessible across Minecraft versions.
The goal of Alamaos Edition is to preserve the original PlayerRevive experience while providing bug fixes, compatibility improvements, and backports of newer PlayerRevive features to older supported Minecraft versions.
❤️ What is PlayerRevive?
PlayerRevive changes the traditional Minecraft death system by introducing a **downed/bleeding state**.
Instead of immediately dying when your health reaches zero, you can enter a downed state where other players have an opportunity to revive you before time runs out.
This makes death and recovery much more engaging, particularly for multiplayer, survival, hardcore-style, adventure, and modpack experiences.
🔧 What does Alamaos Edition change?
Alamaos Edition is intended to provide:
- Bug fixes for issues affecting supported versions
- Compatibility fixes for newer Minecraft and mod-loader versions
- Backports of newer PlayerRevive features to older Minecraft versions where reasonably possible
- Maintenance for versions where upstream fixes may not currently be available
- Improvements necessary to keep the original PlayerRevive experience working as intended
The intention is not to redesign PlayerRevive.
Unless specifically documented for a release, the core revive mechanics and gameplay behavior remain faithful to the original mod.
🩹 Current Fixes
NeoForge 26.2
Alamaos Edition fixes an issue where the PlayerRevive HUD could be rendered multiple times while a player was bleeding/downed.
This could duplicate elements such as:
- Revive progress
- Remaining bleed-out time
- Give-up prompt
- Self-revive prompt
The rendering implementation has been corrected so that the PlayerRevive HUD is rendered once during the appropriate post-GUI rendering stage.
No revive mechanics, self-revive behavior, configuration values, revive progress, or bleeding logic were changed by this fix.
🔄 Backports
A major goal of Alamaos Edition is to bring useful features and improvements from newer PlayerRevive versions to older Minecraft versions whenever technically practical.
Backported functionality will be documented individually in the changelog for each release so that you know exactly what differs between versions.
⚠️ Unofficial Fork
PlayerRevive - Alamaos Edition is an unofficial fork and is not affiliated with or endorsed by CreativeMD.
The original PlayerRevive mod and its underlying work were created by CreativeMD.
