Description
Plunderer - Locked Crates
Timed, hackable supply crates. Call one in, hack it, hold it, and loot it.
Plunderer adds the Locked Crate: a sealed crate that takes a long hack to open. The countdown floats above it where everyone can see it, so a drop turns into a fight over the spot.
The Hack
- Right-click a locked crate to start the hack. The default is 15 minutes.
- Anyone can start it, it cannot be cancelled, and the hacker does not have to stay.
- The countdown shows above the crate like a nametag, visible from every side and through walls.
- The crate beeps while it is being hacked, faster in the last 10 seconds.
- When it finishes, anyone can open it and take the loot. It leaves 10 minutes after unlocking, or as soon as it is emptied.
- Crates cannot be broken or blown up, and an untouched crate leaves after 2 hours.
- Chat announces the spawn, the hack start and the unlock, with coordinates.
Air Drops
Crates can fall from the sky on a parachute with a smoke trail. The area they land in stays loaded while they fall, so a drop always arrives, even if nobody is nearby.
Scheduled Drops
Switch on a timer and the server calls in crates for you.
- Every any number of hours and minutes, with an optional random offset.
- Players needed online, and a cap on active crates so drops never pile up.
- Around a player (a set distance from a random online player) or Fixed area (a circle you set).
- Choose the dimension and the loot table.
- A live countdown, plus Drop now and Restart timer.
Loot Tables
- Every item has its own percent chance and a min-max quantity, so you can mix guaranteed rewards with rare drops.
- Make as many tables as you want and cap how many stacks a crate holds.
- Items keep their data, so named items, enchanted gear and quest tokens drop exactly as you made them.
- Tables are plain files in
config/plunderer/loot, and everything is editable in game.
Admin Screen
Operators get a full screen with four tabs: Loot, Crates, Schedule and Settings.
- Search every item in the game, or add the one in your hand.
- Spawn, air drop, unlock, reroll or remove crates. Open any crate and edit its contents live.
- Open it with the
\key, by sneak-right-clicking a crate, or with/plunderer.
The Crate Item
Operators can carry crates around. Right-click a block to place one. Each item holds its own loot table, and sneak plus right-click opens that table for editing.
Requirements
- NeoForge 1.21.1.
- Install it on the server and on every client.
- Works alongside Holdfast Factions. Hacking a crate counts as an entity interaction under land claims.
Configuration
plunderer-common.toml: hack time, lifetimes, announcements and the schedule.plunderer-client.toml: how far away the countdown is visible.config/plunderer/loot/*.json: the loot tables.
