Description

A furnace in your pocket

Stop waiting next to a furnace. Pocket Furnace adds a furnace you carry with you. Right-click it to open a normal furnace screen, load it with ore and fuel, close it, and it keeps smelting while it sits in your inventory. Mine, explore or fight, and your ingots are ready when you check back.

Features

  • Pocket Furnace: right-click to open the vanilla furnace screen, recipe book included.
  • Smelts in your pocket: fuel, progress and items are saved on the item, and it keeps cooking anywhere in your inventory (hotbar, main inventory or offhand).
  • Pocket Blast Furnace upgrade: smelts ores, raw metals and metal gear twice as fast, just like the vanilla blast furnace.
  • Uses any normal furnace fuel. XP is stored and given to you when you take the results out.
  • Glows orange in your hotbar while it's burning, and the tooltip shows what's inside.
  • Carry more than one: each furnace smelts on its own.
  • Safe: the furnace can't be dropped, swapped or duplicated while its screen is open.
  • Found in the Tools & Utilities creative tab.

Recipes

Pocket Furnace (shaped, at a crafting table):

  • Top row: empty, String, empty
  • Middle row: Leather, Furnace, Leather

Pocket Blast Furnace upgrade (same layout as the vanilla blast furnace):

  • Top row: Iron Ingot, Iron Ingot, Iron Ingot
  • Middle row: Iron Ingot, Pocket Furnace, Iron Ingot
  • Bottom row: Smooth Stone, Smooth Stone, Smooth Stone

Anything inside your Pocket Furnace carries over when you upgrade it. Recipes unlock in your recipe book when you pick up a furnace.

Versions

Available for NeoForge (Minecraft 26.3 and 1.21.1), Forge (Minecraft 26.3, 1.21.1 and 1.20.1) and Fabric (Minecraft 26.3, 1.21.1 and 1.20.1; requires Fabric API). Pick your version on the Files tab. Install on both the server and the client.
