Description
Pocket Fix
A small fix mod for Pocket Repose — for the case where the Fabric build of Pocket Repose is loaded on Forge 1.20.1 through Sinytra Connector.
Pocket Repose itself works on Forge through Connector, but the bridge leaves a few client/server sync and ticking problems behind. Pocket Fix addresses them without touching the original mod's code — it adds no items, blocks or recipes.
What it fixes
1. Door opens only half-way Right-clicking a door can leave the upper and lower halves in different states on the server and the client (one half open, one half closed). Pocket Fix re-sends the correct block updates for both halves right after the interaction.
2. Redstone doors stay out of sync Doors toggled by a redstone signal can look unchanged on the client. Pocket Fix sends the updated states of both halves to nearby players whenever a door receives a neighbour update.
3. The pocket dimension does not tick Inside the pocket dimension, mobs freeze in place, chest animations stop and redstone stops running — the dimension never enters the server tick loop under Connector. Pocket Fix detects players inside the pocket dimension on every server tick and ticks that dimension manually — exactly once per tick, never twice.
Requirements
Required
- Minecraft 1.20.1
- Forge 47+
- Pocket Repose 1.2.7-1.20.1 — the Fabric build
- Sinytra Connector — needed to load the Fabric build on Forge
Environment: client and server (BOTH). The fixes are server-side packets and ticking; installing on both sides is recommended. Singleplayer works normally.
Notes
- No config file, no commands, no new content — install and forget.
- Safe to add to an existing world. Removing it does not corrupt anything (the original problems may simply come back).
- Only tested against Pocket Repose 1.2.7-1.20.1. A different Pocket Repose version may or may not need updates.
- Unofficial fix. Not affiliated with the Pocket Repose author. Pocket Repose is by BennyBoops and licensed under MIT; this mod only provides compatibility logic and contains no assets from it.
