About
Description

An in-game tutorial system for Minecraft mods.
A scene plays in a floating window, the camera orbits it, text bubbles point at blocks and walk the player through what's happening — built from a real schematic, driven by a small storyboard API. Standalone, no external mod dependencies.
Heads up: this is a library. It doesn't do anything by itself. You'd have it installed because some other mod depends on it — not because you went looking for it.
For mod devs
- A scene is a vanilla
.nbtschematic plus a small code storyboard: reveal sections, move/rotate things, animate entities along eased collision-aware paths, show text bubbles anchored to a point in the scene, draw outlines, spawn particles, wait on keyframes. - The player-facing UI is already built: scrubber with keyframe marks, play/pause/replay, slow mode, a hover-to-inspect mode, and a scene browser grouped by tag.
- Players get into a scene by holding a key over an item tooltip or a placed block, or from the browser's own keybind.
- Scenes from different mods can order themselves relative to each other, so a shared tutorial sequence still makes sense when several mods contribute to it independently.

LGPL-3.0-or-later. Depending on it and calling the API puts no obligations on your mod's license — closed-source is fine. Only modifying PonderLib itself triggers the share-back requirement. Full breakdown, including the MIT-derived portions, is in the repo's README.
