About

Description

# PortalFX

PortalFX gives both portals a new look and makes travelling through them feel dramatic.

## Features

**Nether portal**
- A new animated crimson texture with slow, flowing swirls and glowing veins
- Crisp 64x64 frames, so it isn't pixelated
- Drifting crimson embers around active portals
- No selection box when you aim at the portal

**End portal**
- A new violet lightning and starfield texture
- Small purple portal particles that curl around the portal

**Teleporting**
- Teleport the instant you touch a portal, no waiting
- Nether: the screen shatters into glowing shards
- End: reality tears open with a void rip
- You are frozen in place during the animation (like the End credits), so you can't walk or fall
- The vanilla portal warp overlay is replaced, so effects never stack

## Requirements
- Minecraft 1.21.1,26.x
- NeoForge
- Needed on both client and server

## Notes
- No shaders needed; it works on any GPU
- Texture and particle changes are visual only
