Description
So let's assume you're making a modpack. And you want to limit the amount of items that players have the ability to store in storage units. Well, there's tons of mods out there like Iron Chests and Colossal Chests that will increase the amount of slots available in a chest. But what if you want less? This mod provides 3 new barrels to modpack devs to help solve this problem! This project was based on Primal Chests for 1.12.
Featuring
The Primal Barrel with a glorious 9 slots total
The Advanced Primal Barrel with a whopping 14 slots total (arranged in a 2x7)
and lastly, the Developed Primal Barrel with a mind-blowing 18 slots total (arranged in a 2x9)
I know. Isn't it glorious?
But wait, there's more!
Well. Not much really. Each barrel comes in one colour each and is either blue, green, or red. But hey the texture changes when the barrel is open, so that's cool, right?
Oh yeah, you can use them with hoppers n' stuff and they show up in Jade/WTHIT.
Ummmm yeah that's it really. They do come with built in recipes, but the recipes don't provide much incentive as to why you'd want to build a worse barrel than the vanilla one. Like I said, this was designed with modpack devs in mind lol.
Huge Shoutout
To the Metal Barrels mod. Seriously. They basically provided 90% of the code backend for this. Go check them out over here https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/metal-barrels if you want barrels that provide more than the vanilla ones.
Also a massive thanks to Bisect Hosting and their team. This mod was assembled for a modpack being put together in joint with some of their group, so keep your eyes open for some new packs coming soon!
