Profet's Timber

Chop one log and the whole tree comes down, cartoon style.

A mod for Minecraft Java 26.2 and 26.3 on Fabric, Quilt, NeoForge and Forge. It only has to be on the server, so players join with an unmodified game.

• The whole tree falls, cartoon style. It hangs for a beat, drops onto the stump, creaks, tips over, bursts into leaves and pops apart log by log.
• One tree at a time. In a crowded forest, neighbouring trees keep their own logs and leaves.
• Never fells builds. Logs you placed are left alone, and so is anything without a leafy crown.
• Falls where it makes sense: away from you, or into open space when something is in the way.
• Everything attached comes along, such as vines, cocoa, hanging moss and snow.
• Every overworld tree, including the 2×2 giants, and poplar on 26.3.
• Fair durability. The axe pays for the whole tree, Unbreaking included. A tree that would break your axe isn't felled.
• Everyone chooses. Any player can turn it off or on for themselves with /trigger timber.

Sneak to take a single log instead.

Operators open a clickable menu with /function timber:settings. It sets the maximum tree size, how sneaking works, where drops land, whether an axe is needed, durability use, the animation and placed-log protection.

• Mod: put the -fabric.jar (Fabric or Quilt, needs Fabric API) or the -forge.jar (Forge or NeoForge) in mods, or install it with the CurseForge app. It's needed on the server (or in singleplayer), not on players' clients.
• Data pack or server plugin (Paper, Purpur, Spigot, Bukkit): those builds are on Modrinth, linked at the bottom of this page.

Use only one of them. To remove Timber cleanly, run /function timber:uninstall first.
