Description
Highly Recommended: Burnt+ Addition
Installing Burnt+ Addition alongside Project Explosive is strongly recommended.
It is not required to run the mod, but it is recommended for the intended experience.
Development Status
Beta 0.7 — NeoForge 1.21.1
Project Explosive is still in active development, and all features should be considered experimental while the mod is in beta.
Beta 0.7 may be unstable in some situations. Bugs, glitches and performance issues can still occur, especially during large explosions or when using newer systems such as ICBMs.
Survival crafting and multiplayer are supported, but neither should be considered final yet.
If you're playing on a server, make sure both the client and server are using the same version of the mod.
Features
- Bombs — Mk 82, Mk 84 and Fat Man. Drop them from the air or place them as blocks and detonate them with redstone.
- ICBMs — Light, heavy and nuclear missiles with target papers and detachable boosters.
- Munitions Workbench — Assemble bomb casings, warheads and missiles.
- Target Designator — Mark a location and turn it into a target paper. It can even target distant terrain rendered by Distant Horizons.
- Nuclear Explosions — Mushroom clouds, expanding shockwaves, large craters, scorched terrain and collapsing structures.
- Flash Goggles — Protect yourself from the nuclear flash while giving the mushroom cloud's glowing core a distinctive orange lighting effect.
- Radiation — Nuclear explosions leave behind persistent fallout. Prolonged exposure can cause radiation sickness, while armour and shelter help reduce the dose.
- Geiger Counter — Detect radiation levels around you.
- Airstrike Caller — Call in an airstrike that drops five Mk 82 bombs on your selected target.
Experimental fire tools are also still available and can be enabled through the Fire Tools setting.

Compatibility & Settings
Project Explosive supports Sodium, Embeddium and Distant Horizons.
Bombs can also hit and damage Sable ships, including ships used with Create: Aeronautics.
Compatibility features are still experimental and may not work perfectly in every situation.
Nuclear explosions use custom lighting that works without shaderpacks. When a shaderpack is active, the nuclear flash automatically switches to a simpler effect for better compatibility.
Several effects can be adjusted in the settings, including particle quality, explosion volume, camera shake, flash strength and the Dark Flash option.
