Propwash: Payloads

Strap a charge under your FPV drone, dive, and make it count.

About:
Payloads is an add-on for Propwash FPV that turns your quads into strike drones, and gives everyone on the ground ways to fight back: AA turrets, signal jammers and (with TaCZ) actual guns.

Requires Propwash FPV 0.5.0 · Minecraft 26.3 · Fabric · Java 25 Install on the server and every client.

17 charges, from a 45 g mini frag for your whoop up to a 3 kg mega warhead that needs an X-class lifter.

Mount one in the bottom slot of your drone (where the LED strip goes) in the Drone Workbench. Your action cam still fits on top, and every charge is paintable.

Dropping mode:

Press G (rebindable under Controls) while flying armed and the charge comes off. It keeps your drone's speed, falls and goes off on whatever it hits, including water. Your drone gets lighter right away and flies on.

AA Turrets:

Two turrets that lock onto armed drones and shoot at them. They don't destroy drones outright: every hit damages one part (the battery, a motor or a prop), and the drone keeps flying worse and worse until it goes down. The pilot sees a LOCK warning in the goggles, with which way the turret is and how far, and hears a beep that speeds up as the lock closes.

Signal Jammer:
A box with four antennas. Fly near one and your video fills with static and your link quality drops. Inside about 40% of its 48-block radius, your control link is cut and Propwash's failsafe takes over. A redstone signal turns it off.

FPV Monitor:
Place it, right-click it, and watch the goggle feed of whoever placed it. Sneak + right-click to tune it to yourself. Only the people who switched a monitor on receive the feed, and the pilot only sends frames while someone is watching. Perfect for spectators, or for a co-pilot spotting targets.

TaCZ Refabricated (Optional):
With TaCZ Refabricated (and its Forge Config API Port dependency) installed, bullets that hit a drone damage one of its parts, more for heavier guns. There's no miss roll: if you hit it, it counts. The pilot gets an UNDER FIRE warning pointing at the shooter. Without TaCZ, Payloads works the same and this part simply stays off.
