About

Description

Pulsetech is a tech mod built around transmitting data using pulses of Redstone signal. With this technique, information such as commands and parameters can be sent over a single line of vanilla Redstone, and be used to coordinate the actions of complex machines.

Video Overview

Watch the overview video here!

Features

Three Pattern Emitters, linked to three Pattern Detectors by a single Redstone line. The center Detector is powered, and the center Emitter is showing an output.

With the Pattern Emitter and Pattern Detector, hundreds of distinct codes can be sent over a single line of Redstone dust and used to trigger many different machines. Connect Redstone contraptions all over your world to a network that can be controlled from a single place!

Pulsetech also adds a few machines to add some power to your pulsed-Redstone creations: the destructive Coil Cannon, the Screen, the Scanner, and the Orb Projector. With these, you can break and place blocks automatically, sense nearby mobs, create intricate display systems, and even grab and move entities. Each of these is operated using a set of commands, which are also pulse patterns.

To control all these machines, Pulsetech offers an easy-to-use scripting language, available via the Console. With support for macros and parameters, the Console allows you to control your entire base from a single command prompt.

Documentation

Pulsetech comes with Ponder built-in as its method of easily learning what each block does and how to use them. Since it's built-in, this will work whether or not you have Create installed!

Any block with a list of commands will also have full, in-depth documentation of those commands in its Datasheet, accessible by clicking it with the Datasheet item in-game.

Compatibility

Pulsetech should work with any other redstone mod out of the box!

Support has been specifically tested and verified for:

If my other mod Reactive Alchemy is present, Pulsetech will change a couple of its own recipes to use Reactive's crafting system.

Also, as a reminder, this mod does NOT require Create because it bundles Ponder on its own. Create will still work with this mod installed, however! If Ponder updates within Create, the newest version will be used between the two mods, so there should be no problem.

Usage

Feel free to use Pulsetech in any modpack! Just don't pretend to be the mod's author or sell your pack commercially for some money amount.
