Real-time voice translation for Minecraft | by Minic

Inspired by QSMP2's Dababel Translations, this mod brings real-time voice translation to any Minecraft server. Speak in your language and other players see the translation in theirs — with speech bubbles above your head and a Dababel-style translation panel.

🎙️ Voice Translation

• Speak and your words are automatically recognized and translated
• Uses Vosk AI for offline voice recognition (your voice never leaves your computer)
• Supports 16+ languages
• Noise filter and junk word filter for clean results
• Translates in chunks while you speak — no waiting for full sentences

💬 Speech Bubbles (QSMP2 Style)

• Translated text appears above the player's head
• Country flags next to each translation
• Smooth fade-in/fade-out animations with rounded corners
• Dark or light theme
• Adjustable size and duration

📋 Dababel Translation Panel

• Shows translations in a side panel just like QSMP2
• Country flags from custom resource pack
• Slide-in animations and separators
• Moveable to 4 positions on screen
• Dark or light theme (separate from bubbles)

🌍 Translation Providers

Automatic fallback: If one provider fails, the mod automatically tries the next one.

🎨 Customization

• Bubble size and duration sliders
• Dark/Light theme for bubbles, panel, and menu separately
• Custom themed buttons (dark/gray)
• Panel position (4 corners)
• Different notification sound for each language
• Toggle bubbles, translations, and original text on/off

📖 How to Use

1. Install the mod (NeoForge 1.21.1)
2. Enter a world or server
3. Press Y to open translator settings
4. Select your language and translation provider
5. Download the voice model (first time only, ~1GB)
6. Press B to toggle voice on/off
7. Just talk! Your speech will be translated automatically

• NeoForge 21.1+
• Microphone
• Internet connection (for translation)

📥 External Downloads

This mod downloads the following libraries on first use for offline voice recognition:

• Vosk 0.3.45 (speech recognition engine) — from Maven Central
• JNA 5.14.0 (Java Native Access) — from Maven Central
• Vosk Language Model (~1GB) — from Alpha Cephei

These files are required for offline voice recognition and are downloaded only once. No personal data is sent. Voice recognition runs entirely on your computer.

Translation services connect to:

• MyMemory API (api.mymemory.translated.net)
• Lingva Translate (lingva.ml)
• Google Translate (translate.googleapis.com)
• DeepL API (api-free.deepl.com) — Optional, requires free API key
• Claude AI API (api.anthropic.com) — Optional, requires paid API key for premium quality
