Mod Features: - Minecraft Java Edition 1.21.1 Fabric mod - Randomly flips all types of vanilla leaves on their models - Covers three scenarios: world generation, sapling growth, and player placement - Deterministic hash based on world seed and coordinates ensures the same flip at the same location during world generation - True randomness used for player placement and sapling growth - Injects a 'variant' property (0-7) into LeavesBlock via Mixin, enabling 8 rotational variants through blockstate JSON
Random Leaf is a Minecraft Java 1.21.1 Fabric mod that adds a model random flip effect to all types of vanilla leaves (oak, spruce, birch, jungle, acacia, dark oak, redwood, cherry, rhododendron, and flowering rhododendron). The mod injects a 'variant' property (0-7) into LeavesBlock with Mixin and uses custom blockstate configurations to create 8 Y-axis rotations and texture direction variants, giving each leaf a unique orientation and breaking the uniform appearance of vanilla leaves.
It covers three generation scenarios: during world generation, the SplitMix64 deterministic hash based on the world seed and block coordinates ensures that leaves at the same location always have the same flip; for sapling growth and player placement, true random numbers are used for different results each time. Two layers of Mixin (World and Chunk) naturally route variant==0, allowing precise distinction of generation and interaction paths without scenario flags, achieving stable and conflict-free random flipping.
