Real Clock Seasons
Real Clock Seasons keeps your Minecraft world's clock in step with real time. Long, open-ended sessions — AFK farms, building projects, marathon play sessions — tend to drift completely out of sync with the real world. This mod corrects that automatically without resetting your world's elapsed day count.
It is an independent NeoForge mod and requires no other mod to function.
Features
- Synchronizes the Overworld clock with real-world time.
- Preserves your world's elapsed in-game day count — your "Day N" never resets.
- Configurable synchronization interval.
- Optional sleep freeze to prevent vanilla sleeping from fighting the real-time sync.
- Optional sync on player join and server start.
- Public extension point for other mods to react to clock corrections.
- Commands for status, manual sync, configuration reload, and debug logging.
How It Works
Minecraft's internal clock uses dawn (06:00) as tick 0. Real Clock Seasons follows this same convention when converting real-world time into Minecraft time.
By default, the mod checks and corrects the clock once per real second. Between corrections, the normal day/night cycle continues naturally while staying anchored to real time.
Requirements
- Minecraft: 26.1.2
- NeoForge: 26.1.2.71+
- Java: 25
No other mod is required. Real Clock Seasons works completely standalone.
Compatibility
Serene Seasons and Ecliptic Seasons are official future compatibility targets.
For this release, Real Clock Seasons runs independently and does not require or integrate with either mod.
Installation
- Install NeoForge for Minecraft 26.1.2.
- Place the Real Clock Seasons jar into your
modsfolder. - Start your world/server once to generate the configuration file.
- Enable the mod in
config/realclockseasons-common.toml.
