Description
🩸 RedFX — Realistic Blood & Surface Decals
RedFX is a lightweight, purely client-side visual overhaul that brings visceral, dynamic combat effects to Minecraft. Every strike sends directional blood spraying realistically away from the impact, landing seamlessly onto surrounding blocks, walls, slabs, and stairs.
Because RedFX is 100% client-side, you can use it anywhere—in singleplayer, on modded servers, or on completely vanilla multiplayer servers without needing server-side support or risking registry mismatches!

✨ Key Features
🧱 Seamless Block Decals & Chunk Meshing
- No More Hovering Flat Particles: Landed blood splatters are baked directly into the chunk geometry as clean decals rather than lingering in the world as hovering particle entities.
- Smart Multi-Surface Support: Puddles flow naturally across block boundaries, wrapping over full blocks, slabs, stairs, chests, snow layers, and carpets, while cleanly falling through foliage and tall grass.
- Zero Z-Fighting: Built from the ground up to prevent texture flickering, camera clipping, or z-fighting.
- Decal Persistence: Splatters stay painted when punching or interacting with blocks, only vanishing when the block itself is broken or replaced.
⏳ Natural Dissolving & Fading
- Blood splatters don't just blink out of existence when their timer expires. Puddles slowly erode away pixel-by-pixel from the edges inward, leaving an organic, natural fade effect.
🎨 Mob-Specific Blood Colors
Every creature in Minecraft has its own unique biology:
- Classic Red: Humans, Zombies, Villagers, Spiders, and passive animals.
- Slime Green: Slimes and Creepers.
- Ender Purple: Endermen, Endermites, and the Ender Dragon.
- Sculk Teal: Wardens.
- Bone-Marrow Brown: All skeleton variants (Skeletons, Strays, Wither Skeletons, Bogged, Parched, Skeleton Horses).
- Blazing Orange/Yellow: Blazes and Magma Cubes.
- Sulfur White: Sulfur Cubes.
💧 Low-Health Bleeding & Underwater Effects
- Wounded Dripping: When any mob or player drops below 35% health, they organically drip blood droplets beneath them as they move.
- Underwater Dispersion: Submerged blood droplets drift slowly through the water with buoyancy resistance, dispersing into expanding, murky underwater clouds matching the creature's blood color.
- Splatter Dust Bursts: Droplets produce subtle color-matched impact dust bursts when hitting surfaces.
⚙️ In-Game Configuration Screen
RedFX comes with a built-in configuration menu accessible via ModMenu (Fabric) or the Mods Config screen (NeoForge):
- Particle Density: Low (0.4×), Normal (1.0×), High (2.0×), and Ultra (4.0×).
- Independent Size Sliders: Tune airborne Drop Size and landed Splat Size separately to get your exact preferred look.
- Decal Lifetime: Adjust puddle duration from 1 second up to 30 seconds.
- Visual Styles: Switch droplet styles between Default (clean wool textures), Spray (poof textures), and Shred (intense combat fragments).
- Color Saturation: Dial vibrancy from subtle/washed out (0.0×) up to hyper-vivid (2.0×).
- Feature Toggles: Toggle dust bursts, underwater clouds, or low-health dripping independently.
🚀 Performance & Compatibility
- Zero Entity Lag: Because decals are baked into chunk meshes, hundreds of blood splatters can cover the ground during chaotic boss fights without dropping your FPS or hitting Minecraft's particle limits.
- Fully Compatible: Works out-of-the-box with Sodium, Iris, Embeddium, and vanilla rendering.
- Available For:
- Fabric & NeoForge
- Minecraft 1.21, 1.21.4, 1.21.8, 1.21.10, 1.21.11, 26.1, and 26.2

Features
🩸 Dynamic blood effects
Blood particles paint dynamic blood splatters on surfaces like walls and floors rather than simply creating particles particles, to improve performance and aesthetics.
🩹 Low HP dripping
Mobs below 35% health will contantly bleed (roughly 1 drop every 2 - 4 seconds)
🪜 Dynamic surface adaption
Because of the way the mod works, the splatters will adapt to slabs, stairs, and other blocks, rather than hanging off the edge.
📄 Simple configuration menu
The config menu is simple, yet gives you a lot of control over the mod, from color saturation config to blood particle size config (requires mod menu mod if on fabric)
🌈 Entity specific blood colors
Different mobs have different blood colors, such as red, purple, green, and yellow blood.

Blood splatters are bound to a 16x16 pixel grid per block, making the blood splatters fit better into the world compared to previous versions of RedFX.
Trailer: (outdated)

- White blood? (All skeletons)

Important notes
-The NeoForge port has been fixed and now works.
