About
Description
Redstone Blunderbuss is a custom firearm mod built around a powerful close-range blunderbuss powered by redstone technology.
The weapon fires a wide spread of custom Redstone Buckshot pellets, making it especially effective at close range while still requiring careful timing due to its long reload cycle.
Features
- Custom 3D blunderbuss model
- Custom Redstone Buckshot ammunition
- Wide multi-pellet spread
- Long reload sequence with custom sound effects
- Muzzle flash and smoke effects
- Underwater malfunction behavior
- Glass-breaking projectile interaction
- Durability support
- Compatible with Unbreaking and Mending
- Survival crafting recipes for both the weapon and ammunition
- Custom first-person and reload poses
Important Note
Some first-person animation mods may override the weapon’s intended holding or reload pose. The weapon mechanics, sounds, cooldowns, and reload system will still function normally.
Gameplay
The Redstone Blunderbuss is designed as a heavy, high-impact weapon rather than a rapid-fire gun. Each shot consumes one Redstone Buckshot and is followed by a lengthy reload, so timing and ammunition management matter.
Special Note From The Author:
Hello, fellow Minecraft players!
This is one of my first modding projects -the second mod-, and I am still learning MCreator and Minecraft mod development. I used AI assistance during development for troubleshooting, code snippets, model adjustments, and learning how some systems work. The concept, design decisions, balancing, testing, and overall direction of the mod were done by me.
I wanted to be transparent about that and also share the project as part of my learning process. I hope you enjoy it!
