About
Description
This is a datapack project that aims to rebalance Minecraft progression, making it more based on exploration, instead of allowing players to get all the best gear in the first 20 minutes. It is based around a handful of other datapacks, which are required for this project to work.
Feature Overview
See advancements and recipe book for instructions.
Spoiler
Progression
- Stone tools are now made from blackstone, effectively disabling them.
- Crafted wooden pickaxes are able to mine copper.
- Diamond equipment is crafted in a smithing table, by upgrading iron equipment using a diamond block as a template, and the bolt armor trim as a material, making it possible to preserve enchantments.
- Bolt armor trim can be crafted using a trial key (or any basic dnt key) and copper ingots.
- Ancient debris can be mined with fortune.
- Villagers no longer trade diamond equipment or enchanted books.
- Wither skulls and heavy cores drop more frequently.
- The eye of ender recipe is changed to force players to experience more features from the vanilla game.
Enchanting
- Enchanting tables are disabled.
- Enchantments are split into themes, each theme being obtained in a different way.
- Enchanted books are crafted using blocks that are found in various structures, including Dungeons and Taverns structures.
- These blocks are hard to obtain, but they can be duplicated using items related to the blocks theme.
- Some enchantments are treasure only.
Datapack dependencies:
- Enchantology 1.5.5
