Quick summary:

The Renewed Eras of Arda addon is an addon to the Renewed Lord of the Rings mod. This addon is playable only on 1.16.5 - it will be updated to newer versions in tandem with the Lord of the Rings mod. This addon adds the First and Second Ages as described by Tolkien as playable dimensions - with custom worldgen, NPCs and much more. Furthermore, it adds the First Age Classic and Second Age Classic world types which override the map and generate like a regular Minecraft world using First Age/Second Age biomes. Installation:

This addon requires the Lord of the Rings Renewed Mod to be present, we also highly recommend installing JEI and JEI LOTR to help with recipes. In total to get the most out of this addon you will need 4 mods:

* The Lord of the Rings Renewed Mod
* Just Enough Items
* Just Enough Items LOTR
* The Renewed Eras of Arda Addon

Features:

This addon is split into two main parts: The First Age and The Second Age. With this addon installed, you are able to transition smoothly from all three of the Ages. The First Age uses an edited map that adds Beleriand to the map and revamps most of Eriador to match the writings of Tolkien. We have added over 20 new factions and subfactions, armors, weapons, biomes and so much more. You can play as an elf of Doriath, a man from Dor-lómin, an orc of Angband and others. The choice is yours.

The Second Age is similar, with an even larger in scale than the First Age. See below for the maps of the two dimensions.

Thangorodrim Notice the smoke rising from the ravine in the distance. The regions around Thangorodrim are also afflicted with earthquakes - barely noticeable far away, but stronger and stronger as you get nearer to Thangorodrim.
