TLDR: Stops Minecraft from loading double-resolution size on mac retina monitors
In versions 1.12 and below, Minecraft would use half the resolution of a retina display for its game. Unfortunately, ever since 1.13+, they now use the full resolution of the monitor which is typically not used. This caused major performance degradation for mac retina display users. Of course, there is a mod that fixed this... only for fabric. I was asked to simply port it over to forge so here you go
Btw, if you are asking for a 1.16.5 port, the early progress window on launch makes a port to that version very difficult (it was removed recently)
