Description

Reveal: Index & Codex

Reveal: Index & Codex is a configurable record and story collection mod for Minecraft NeoForge.

The mod adds two main tools: the Reveal Codex and the Index Book.

The Reveal Codex lets players uncover hidden records by using configured in-game materials. These records can be used for lore, hints, rumors, secrets, worldbuilding notes, quest clues, or other written content in a modpack or adventure map.

The Index Book stores the records that a player has already discovered. Players can browse discovered records through a page-style reading interface, organized by category.

Index Books can also be shared between players. When another player reads or uses a shared Index Book, discovered records can be exchanged and merged, allowing story information to spread naturally in multiplayer gameplay.

The mod is designed for modpacks, adventure worlds, and lore-driven gameplay. It helps place background information inside the game as discoverable content instead of putting everything in external documents or guide pages.

Reveal also includes built-in vanilla-related records as a default example experience, while allowing custom record content to be added for different worlds or modpacks.
