Description

Reworked Blazeborn Origin

This datapack is an addon to the original Origins mod by Apace and modifies the base Blazeborn origin included in the mod. It is part of a series where I modify all the base origins. More to come!

Powers:

Nether Fortress: You spawn in a nether fortress, it is your natural home.

Fiery Blows: Your attacks set targets on fire as if you had Fire Aspect II.

Fire Immunity: You are immune to all fire-based damage. Unchanged from the original.

Heat-based Biology: You can move faster, swim, and see better when in lava. However, you gain slowness in rain and can't swim in water.

Burning Wrath: When on fire, you channel the flames into your strikes, dealing more damage. (6 extra damage, as if you had Strength II).

Fiery Barrage: You are able to release a barrage of fireballs, just like your blaze brethren. Recharges every 5 seconds, sets you on fire for 3 seconds, and doesn't work in cold/humid biomes or in rain/water/snow. Activated with [Primary].

Hover: You are able to float upwards temporarily, draining your hover bar. Hover bar is drained in cold/humid biomes or in rain/water/snow, and refilled when on the ground/in lava/on fire in a hot biome. Hover with [Secondary].

Friends in the Fortress: All mobs that naturally spawn in the nether fortress are neutral towards you, with the exception of skeletons (blazes, wither skeletons, magma cubes). You can trade with friendly blazes for blaze rods with nether wart, and killing them will not drop anything. Magma cubes can still hurt you if you touch their hitbox.

Hotblooded: Due to your hot body, venoms burn up, making you immune to poison and hunger status effects. Unchanged from the original.

Hydrophobia: Being of a warm nature, you take damage when exposed to water or rain.

Flame Body: Due to your flame body, you are faster in hot biomes or if you're on fire, but slower in cold/humid biomes. You also take significantly more damage while freezing (x5) and slowly freeze in snow.

No Sleeping: Due to your nether origins, sleep is a foreign concept to you.

Supersmelter: You can smelt all the items in your hotbar and offhand. Recharges every 5 minutes and 20 seconds. Activated with [Load Hotbar Indicator].

Tridents?: The overworld has these weird pitchforks from the sea, and they seem to be calling to you. Maybe there's something you can do with them? Netherite, for one, seems to have something to do with it. Riptide doesn't really like your aversion to water.

Infernal Supernova: After drawing enough heat into your body, you can unleash a devastating heat wave and explosion that blasts enemies away, stripping away their fire resistance and dealing heavy damage. This vaporizes nearby water, ice, and foliage, lights nearby campfires and furnaces, and fuels nearby brewing stands and furnaces. It also sets yourself and any living targets on fire for a long duration of time. It only recharges while you're on fire in a hot biome. NOTE: This power is tied to the Hellfork, meaning you can only use it while it's in your offhand or mainhand.

Melting Armor: Your body is too hot to wear armor tiers under diamond and netherite without fire protection. You can, however, wear turtle helmets and elytra.

Flame Particles (hidden): You constantly spawn flame particles. Disables when sneaking/invisible.

Smoke Particles (hidden): You constantly spawn smoke particles. Disables when sneaking/invisible.

Blaze Sounds (hidden): You occasionally make blaze noises. Disables when sneaking/invisible.

Conduit Power on Land, Damage from Snowballs, Damage from Potions (hidden): Self-explanatory. Unchanged from the original.

*Note: All cold biome/snow debuffs are mitigated by setting yourself on fire, and all rain/water/humid biome debuffs are mitigated with conduit power.

Known Bug: For whatever reason, taking fall damage from the explosion crater left by Infernal Supernova launches the origin upwards extremely high.
