Adults do not spawn naturally and can only appear through spawn eggs or emergence from an implanted host.
Baby Sympathid
A small alien creature with 25 HP by default, approximately half the movement speed of an adult, and complete immunity to fall damage.
Rarely appears on chorus flowers in the End, with a default spawn chance of 1 in 64 eligible flowers.
Babies flee from players watching them, observe from a safe distance, and chase and bite unsuspecting players when their backs are turned. They can also roam and climb walls and ceilings.
Sympathid Animations and Sounds
Both Sympathid variants feature animated walking, articulated joints, and front-paw rubbing animations approximately every 10 seconds.
Idle sounds play every five seconds, with higher-pitched versions for babies. Adults have additional melee, hurt, and acid-firing sounds.

Features a custom 3D model, injection animation, color-coded Shift controls tooltip, and crafting recipe using vanilla and Rick's Stuff components.
Sympathid Delusions and Growth
Once implanted, a Sympathid manipulates its host's perception, disguising dangerous situations with friendly-looking diamond gifts, apparently full health and hunger bars, and misleading damage and knockback feedback.
The damage is still real, even when the host cannot perceive it correctly.
Affected players cannot see their own regeneration anatomy, although other players can still see their injuries and reconstruction.
After a configurable incubation period of 10 minutes by default, the Baby Sympathid emerges as an adult, preserving its ownership and immortality.
Zero Empathy
A permanent unlockable trait obtained after Sympathid emergence, granting a temporary combat boost when the affected player is attacked.
Taking damage activates a 20% damage bonus for three minutes, followed by a one-minute cooldown by default.
Each death or Second Life increases the bonus by five percentage points, up to a maximum of 40%.
Features a timed HUD and an aggressive red "KILL HIM" screen effect. Regeneration repeats the screen effect only if the timed buff is already active and the revival increases the damage bonus toward its cap.
The screen effect can be disabled independently, and damage bonuses, cooldowns, and durations are configurable.
Use /ricksaddon restoreempathy to remove the trait, its damage bonus, and associated effects.
Sympathid Companions
Baby and Adult Sympathids can become companions using Creative-only taming and immortality items.
Tamed babies retain their ownership when captured, released, or grown into adults.
Companions respond to normal Minecraft chat commands, including "Sit," "To me," "Up," "Stop," and "Kill Name" for named mobs or players.
Adults additionally support "Ranged" and "Melee" combat stances.
Standing companions defend their owners and attack enemies their owners hit. Babies only pursue targeted players when those players turn their backs.
