Description

Robot Legion

Build, command, and fight alongside a steampunk-themed legion of humanoid robots. Automate your worker chores, deploy combat squads, breach three tiers of boss dungeons, and trade with engineer villagers for rare parts. Robot Legion is a content-rich Fabric 1.21.1 mod with worker robots, combat robots, boss fights, structures, custom blocks, items, and an in-game guidebook.

Worker Robots

Six worker classes automate the grind so you can focus on adventuring.

  • Miner — Scans for ores within a configurable range, tunnels to them with its glowing pickaxe, and pillars itself back to the surface when the trip count is full.
  • Lumberjack — Fells whole trees and replants saplings.
  • Farmer — Tills soil, plants the crops you select, waters them with the watering can equipment series, and harvests on cycle.
  • Porter — Hovering drone with 27 storage slots. Carries chests, barrels and smelters that you specify.
  • Crafter — Runs crafting recipes you queue up from its on-board inventory.
  • Animal Handler — Herds, breeds, and shears the livestock you choose.

Each worker can be assigned a custom work area with the Range Setter, given commands (Follow / Stay / Work / Attack), and inspected via the Robot Tracker tablet.

Combat Robots (11 subtypes)

Your frontline. Mix and match for the right composition.

  • Swordsman — Iron-tier sword wielder. Reliable melee anchor.
  • Tesla Trooper — Dual-arm Tesla gauntlets, mid-range chain lightning. Great against groups.
  • Medic — Heals all your robots and you with a passive aura. Essential.
  • Grenadier — Ranged AoE bomber with slowness debuff.

Three Boss Dungeons

Each boss drops a unique Trophy + Boss Core used to craft progressively stronger gear and to build a Trophy Block that auto-deposits more cores into a linked chest over time.

  • Lv1 — Steel Swordmaster at the Abandoned Factory: a Diamond-tier melee duelist with phase changes.
  • Lv2 — Bombard Fortress at the Prototype Hangar: a colossal cannon emplacement with three-stage barrage attacks. Watch out for the steam vents.
  • Lv3 — Thunder Sorcerer at the Substation Ruins: a teleporting plasma caster with a Tesla field and lightning drone summons. The final boss.

Engineer Villager Trading

Locate Engineer Huts in plains and forest biomes to find the green-robed Engineer villager. Trade with them for Scrap Metal, Circuit Boards, Robot Cores, and other essential parts. Out of villagers? Use the Engineer Certificate on any regular villager to convert them.

Two locator items help here: the Engineer Locator maps the nearest Engineer Hut, and the Factory Locator maps the nearest dungeon.

Player Tank

A steam-powered four-wheeled tank you can ride. Cannon on the left mouse, homing rocket on the right. Refuel with coal. Repair and recover with the Tank Wrench.

Engineer's Manual (in-game guidebook)

A 53-page illustrated handbook that ships with the mod. Covers every item, recipe, robot, dungeon, and boss with crafting tables and walkthroughs. Localized into Japanese (日本語), English, and Simplified Chinese (简体中文).

Getting Started

  1. Craft the Robot Crafting Bench (Iron, Copper, Planks, Redstone) — this is the central crafting station for the mod.
  2. Find an Engineer Villager in their hut (or convert a regular villager).
  3. Trade or craft to gather Scrap Metal, Circuit Boards, and a Robot Core.
  4. Build your first Swordsman Robot and right-click to issue Follow / Stay / Attack commands.
  5. Craft a Boss Map Lv1 and follow it to your first boss fight.

The Engineer's Manual is auto-granted the first time you join a world.
