The original mod description:
Himalayan salt lamps are a common sight in many homes - their soft, warm glow can instantly make a room feel cozy and relaxing. Some claim that they even provide health benefits in addition to their pleasing look. In the world of infinite possibilities that is Minecraft, you can have both!
Introducing Salt Lamps, a mod that adds 16 colored variations of Himalayan-style salt lamps with a Minecraft twist! In addition to their cozy look and signature warm glow, potions can be poured onto the lamps to diffuse their effects into the air, affecting all players within a small radius around the lamp.
There are also other lamps with special abilities! These special lamps can diffuse effects that affect passive or hostile mobs, or even purify you of most negative effects (for the price of a bucket of milk).
These lamps can be placed on almost any solid block, and look fantastic on cobblestone walls. All of the lamps require salt chunks, which can be mined at the bottom of the ocean. These salt blocks are somewhat rare, so make sure to use a tool with Fortune to get the most salt chunks! Effects can be cleared by pouring a bottle of water on the lamp, and almost every aspect of the mod can be configured.
I will try to update the mod to newer versions when I can (I mostly play modded on 1.12.2). It is unlikely that I will backport this mod to older versions - the only version I would consider porting to is 1.7.10, which is not a guarantee.
