Description

In a parallel dimension there is a race of creatures who have exploited their resources to the point of inevitable environmental collapse. Rather than attempting to salvage their own world they have turned their attention to the Overworld as a new land to devour.

NOTE: By default this is a mod that introduces gameplay mechanics that are intrusive and cannot be avoided. If you just want the cool extra dimension, you will have to configure the corruption mechanics to be turned off. Don't add this mod if you don't want the progression it introduces!

They are attempting to open a gateway by corrupting the barrier between the worlds to the point of that passage is possible between the two.  The natural ecosystem of the overworld provides some protection - but not enough.

To overcome this threat you must gather together a town of like-minded citizens and guide them in their research to counteract the corruption. Together, you and your colony can push back the corruption... and even take the fight to the source, should you so choose. Take heed, though - you must advance sustainably lest you inadvertantly speed the corruption along.

This mod requires MineColonies and the Trade Post for MineColonies add-on.  It introduces a new dimension, new creatures, a dynamic corruption and purification system that reacts to player actions as well as a new MineColonies building and a few new building modules. It is highly configurable for modpack author customization.

WARNING: While much of the "plumbing" of the mod is in place in terms of the corruption and purification system, only rough balancing and playtesting has occurred, and the end-game boss fight is not yet implemented. Consider this mod in "beta" state. It is NOT recommended that you add it to an existing world that already includes active MineColonies colonies.

It is being made available for playtesting, and the very brave or curious. I do expect several months of high-frequency changes as the feature set is rounded out and playtesting feedback is incorporated.  Your feedback would be welcome, as well - feel free to join the discord at https://discord.gg/UbNKC7UKuP.
