Description

Saros Default Options is a Minecraft Forge mod that allows server administrators and modpack creators to establish and maintain default configurations for their setups. With this mod, you can define a set of configuration files in a designated directory, which will be copied into the main directory when the game launches. This provides a straightforward way to enforce server or modpack-specific settings for all players.

- Customizable Default Configuration: Easily create default configuration files that will be applied each time the mod is loaded.
- Optional Overwrite Functionality: Configure the mod to either overwrite existing configuration files or leave them intact.
- Automatic Folder Setup: The mod will automatically generate the necessary directory structure upon the first launch if it doesn’t already exist.

- Download the mod and place it in the
modsfolder of your Minecraft Forge or Fabric setup. - Launch Minecraft to generate the initial configuration files and folders.
- Place your default configuration files in the "Saros Default Options" folder that appears next to your main configuration directory.
- Adjust the mod’s configuration file (
sarosdefaultoptions.cfg) to enable or disable overwriting, depending on your needs.
Configuration
The mod includes a configuration file named sarosdefaultoptions.cfg, where you can control whether the mod will overwrite existing configuration files.
- overwriteConfigFiles (default:
false): If set totrue, the mod will overwrite any existing configuration files with the default files each time it is loaded. If set tofalse, it will only copy files if they do not already exist.
