Description

Unofficial Fabric backport of Satin Free Wakes for Minecraft 1.20.1. Adds simulated wakes behind moving entities and rowing boats, splash effects, and water spray at speed. Satin API is not required.

Requirements: Minecraft 1.20.1, Fabric Loader, Fabric API, and Java 17+. Mod Menu and YetAnotherConfigLib 3.x are optional for the configuration screen.

License and upstream credits: This project is licensed under GPL-3.0-only and retains the original license. It is derived from Satin Free Wakes by Commander07 (upstream source), which is based on Wakes by Goby56 (upstream source). This unofficial port is not endorsed by either upstream author.

How this port differs: The upstream Satin Free Wakes project lists Minecraft 1.21.x; this release targets Minecraft 1.20.1. It retargets the dependencies and adapts particle geometry callbacks, rendering buffers and shader suppliers, model helpers, color handling, world-height access, and boat access for the 1.20.1 APIs. It keeps the satin-free rendering path and does not require Satin.

Complete corresponding source, porting notes, and upstream revisions: GitHub repository. Build and isolated client startup passed with Fabric 1.20.1, Mod Menu, and optional YACL. In-world wake rendering, boat wakes, and splash behavior have not been visually verified; this initial release is prepared as Beta.
