About

Description

this mod made in TΓΌrkiye supported languages: English. Turkish ## Short taglineΒ
*The ground is no longer safe. Seismica brings real earthquakes to Minecraft β€” with true seismic physics, early-warning systems, and buildings that actually collapse.*

---

## Short descriptionΒ
Seismica turns Minecraft's static world into living, breathing tectonics. Faults sleep beneath the surface until they rupture β€” sending P-waves and S-waves racing outward, cracking the earth, and bringing whole buildings down in a roar of falling rubble. Feel the ground kick under your feet, watch the shockwave close in on your radar, and get precious seconds of warning before it hits. Every quake is generated from real seismology, not scripted events.

---

## Full descriptionΒ

### Feel the Earth move.

Most "earthquake" mods just shake your screen. *Seismica* simulates the real thing β€” from the fault rupturing deep underground to the shockwave that reaches your feet seconds later.

Hidden fault lines run through your world, seeded from the world itself. Most of the time they're silent. But when stress releases, a rupture tears along the fault, and two kinds of seismic waves spread outward at different speeds β€” just like in real life. The fast *P-wave* arrives first as a sharp jolt. Then the slower, devastating *S-wave* hits, and the world starts to come apart.

### Real physics, not a script

- *P-waves and S-waves* travel outward at their own real-world speeds. Clients derive the shaking locally from shared seismic math β€” no laggy packet floods.
- *Magnitude follows the Gutenberg–Richter law:* small quakes are common, monsters are rare.
- *Intensity attenuates with distance and depth* (Modified Mercalli scale) β€” a distant M8 might barely rattle your windows, while a shallow one right beneath you levels everything.
- *Foreshocks* may warn of a big one coming. *Aftershocks* follow a decaying sequence β€” always weaker than the mainshock, spaced out over real minutes β€” exactly like a real seismic sequence.

### The ground breaks β€” and so do your builds

- *Fault ruptures* tear a crack across the surface along the fault line. Its width scales with magnitude (thin at M6, a wide gash at M9), and the edges are ragged and natural β€” never a ruler-straight slot.
- *Ground fracturing:* violent shaking cracks the earth downward, deeper where the intensity is highest.
- *Whole-building collapse.* This is the heart of Seismica. When shaking reaches a structure, the mod measures its *structural support* from the materials it's built with. A flimsy shack of wood gives way at intensity VII; solid stone holds to VIII; reinforced construction survives to X or beyond. When a building finally fails, it *shatters into tumbling rubble* β€” and every block falls as itself: dirt stays dirt, bricks stay bricks, planks stay planks, settling into a pile of the building's own materials. Want your base to survive the Big One? *Build stronger.*

### Fight back with real seismology tech

Seismica isn't just about destruction β€” it's about preparation. Craft a full suite of seismic instruments:

- πŸ“Ÿ *Seismograph* β€” a live waveform readout of ground motion.
- πŸ“‘ *Earthquake Radar* β€” a 1200-block PPI scope that plots every quake with its estimated magnitude and shows the P- and S-waves expanding toward you in real time. Watch the danger approach.
- 🚨 *Earthquake Early-Warning Broadcaster* β€” detects a quake seconds after it starts (faster the closer it is) and pushes an on-screen alert across a 1200-block range, complete with an estimated countdown to shaking, expected intensity, magnitude, depth, and direction β€” plus an alert tone modelled on real earthquake-warning systems.
- πŸ“ *Richter Meter* β€” a handheld that estimates the magnitude, intensity (in Roman numerals), and distance to the epicenter.
- πŸ” *Fault Scanner* β€” locate the hidden faults before they find you.
- ⛑️ *Hard Hat* β€” because falling debris hurts.
- πŸ—οΈ *Seismic Dampers (Mk1–Mk3)* & *Reinforced Concrete* β€” engineer your base to ride out the shaking.

### Built to be played, not to lag

Seismica was engineered for performance and safety: no chunk force-loading, bounded destruction budgets focused around players, containers protected from wholesale destruction by default, and a full config file plus the seismicaGriefing gamerule so you decide exactly how much your world can break.

### Try it now

Drop into a world and run:

/seismica start 8 5

…then look for high ground. You've got about ten seconds.

Feel the Earth move.

Most "earthquake" mods just shake your screen. Seismica simulates the real thing β€” from the fault rupturing deep underground to the shockwave that reaches your feet seconds later.

Hidden fault lines run through your world, seeded from the world itself. Most of the time they're silent. But when stress releases, a rupture tears along the fault, and two kinds of seismic waves spread outward at different speeds β€” just like in real life. The fast P-wave arrives first as a sharp jolt. Then the slower, devastating S-wave hits, and the world starts to come apart.

Real physics, not a script

  • P-waves and S-waves travel outward at their own real-world speeds. Clients derive the shaking locally from shared seismic math β€” no laggy packet floods.
  • Magnitude follows the Gutenberg–Richter law: small quakes are common, monsters are rare.
  • Intensity attenuates with distance and depth (Modified Mercalli scale) β€” a distant M8 might barely rattle your windows, while a shallow one right beneath you levels everything.
  • Foreshocks may warn of a big one coming. Aftershocks follow a decaying sequence β€” always weaker than the mainshock, spaced out over real minutes β€” exactly like a real seismic sequence.

The ground breaks β€” and so do your builds

  • Fault ruptures tear a crack across the surface along the fault line. Its width scales with magnitude (thin at M6, a wide gash at M9), and the edges are ragged and natural β€” never a ruler-straight slot.
  • Ground fracturing: violent shaking cracks the earth downward, deeper where the intensity is highest.
  • Whole-building collapse. This is the heart of Seismica. When shaking reaches a structure, the mod measures its structural support from the materials it's built with. A flimsy shack of wood gives way at intensity VII; solid stone holds to VIII; reinforced construction survives to X or beyond. When a building finally fails, it shatters into tumbling rubble β€” and every block falls as itself: dirt stays dirt, bricks stay bricks, planks stay planks, settling into a pile of the building's own materials.
